The Coyotes play in a really nice home gym. Thanks, the SCSC was built ahead of the 2016 season. Gotta assume it helps recruiting a bit. It is a 8 hour drive between these 2 schools or do they fly? |

Not sure about other schools, but USD typically busses except when they have a quick turnaround between geographically disparate schools. I think we bus down to Tulsa normally (almost 9 hours). That’s why our conference uses “travel partner” schools. ORU/ KC, Denver/Omaha, USD/SDSU, UND/NDSU, and Western IL/ St Thomas are the travel partners. I know that when they do charter a flight (USD) we fans know about it because they will tweet about it. Usually as a big “thank-you” to the athletic department. Our budget isn’t like a private school or P5, but we take care of our teams when they need it. Especially our WBB and WVB programs, as they have become some of the most successful and draw fan interest. Denver/ ORU/ St Thomas might fly more often than the publics, but I’m not 100% on that. |
