Really interesting that Omaha has made a change at Setter, having Senior Clarkson split time with Junior Curry. Reminds me of last year, when Coach Buttermore switched to using both Centeno and Mountjoy, often on the court at the same time. He virtually had two Liberos out there (only one in an opposite shirt).
Not sure of the advantage of splitting time with Setters, though. It doesn't sound like a 2-setter system or anything (I think?). I suppose that since Setters touch the ball the most of any player, giving them a rest could be good?

This is a Summit #1 vs #3 where the #3 (Omaha) will be favored... The Bison are just coming off of an upset SWEEP of Denver.... The Mavs have swept their last 6 opponents... This will be the 93rd meeting between these two former rivals for dominance of the the old NCC conference in the 80's and 90's.... and most importantly, both of these teams use the same hand-sign: Who's "horns" will prevail?

Really interesting that Omaha has made a change at Setter, having Senior Clarkson split time with Junior Curry. [snip] Not sure of the advantage of splitting time with Setters, though. It doesn't sound like a 2-setter system or anything (I think?). I watched part of the KC match last weekend and to me it appeared they were running a 6-2 system. I think Buss and McCormick were playing OH, while Jurgensmeier and Fairbanks were playing RS (and subbing with the setters).

Yes, they began running the 6-2 system after the opening weekend losses to SD and SD State. It seems to have worked as Curry has played well at setter.

I like the NDSU Bison to end this streak I probably should be rooting for the Bison, as I perceive the Mavs as a bigger threat to the Yotes in the Tournament... but their (bison) football fans can be a little obnoxious. So there's that. And the Bison have had Summit Championships in multiple sports. I've not really had any bad experiences with Mavs fans in any sport (and my wife went to grad school there, too). So I'll root for them for now.... Until they get a few D-1 rings..... From a rational, logical standpoint I agree that this could go either way, but I like the Mavs at home.
