I have seen birds swallow fish whole, also watched them tear apart the fish and swallow the meat. Same with bird of prey ripping apart small animals. But I have never seen birds swallow other birds whole until now. A couple of bird of preys swallowing 5-6 chicks whole, a juvenile owl also swallowing a chick whole, and several ravens swallowing chicks whole. Then I saw a video of a Komodo Dragon swallowing a baby goat whole. Poor thing didnt run away...just plopped down to the ground, maybe scared to move and the dragon grabbed its head and started swallowing. Another video showed the baby goat running away but the dragon caught up to it and swallowed it whole. Nature is a f*ckin b*tch. Imagine being alive while being swallowed. That has to be horrific.

Nature is a f*ckin b*tch. Imagine being alive while being swallowed. That has to be horrific. Yet it is also mesmerizing! What's worse is being torn to pieces. One clip I saw was a baby deer (of sorts) under the claws of some bird of prey, and it was crying as this bird was ripping chunks of meet out of the poor deer. And there was another clip of a small zebra in the grasp of an alligator/crocodile while its doing its death spin. I'm not sure which part it was, but either the upper half of the zebra's snout or lower half got ripped off. Wasn't a close-up view, mind you...but you can see red meat. I'm catching all these clips off of the WeChat feeds, which is similar to TikTok. WeChat posts some video from TT as well.

YouTube channel Latest Sightings has some really good African nature clips.

Those are also brutal to fellow marine dwellers.

If alien species are real, imagine if they captured humans and took them (us) to their planet to be in a zoo exhibit.

I spent the last hour harvesting oranges and lemons from my trees. I have bloody cuts all over.

Returned from a five day trip to Washington d.c. on Monday. Visited:
5/2 Lincoln memorial, Vietnam war memorial, Korean war memorial, world war II memorial and Martin Luther King memorial
5/3 Antietam national battlefield
5/4 national postal museum, u.s. Capitol and library of congress
5/5 national gallery of art and museum of American history
5/6 national air and space museum.
Awesome trip. The only negative was that the car we rented for Antietam sucked.

My favorite Smithsonian Museum will always be Natural History. The Mall is a great walking experience.

I went head first into a bush (totally my fault), but got back on, and have since done Segway’s in Rome, Saltzburg, and San Francisco. Really fun.

I had 3-1/2 days with my kids.
Air and Space National Gallery of Art Natural History American History American Indian US Capitol
Congress was on Easter break so we couldn't see our congressman or Senator, but that meant we could get a table at the Old Ebbitt Grill across the street from the White House. I was there with my daughters for a club tournament (of course) and they were super sweet and insisted on taking me to the Air and Space Museum first , and spend most of a day there. That's because they well knew that the only time I had been to DC was as a kid in 1975 and the Air and Space Museum was actually closed while they were moving everything into the current building to be ready for 1976. That was devastating to a young boy!

Seize the grey wins Preakness and denies mystik Dan a shot at the triple crown.
