Wisconsin Twitter has the venue wrong, today's match is being held at Crisler. I like Michigan's chances a lot better if the Badgers are a no-show!

Michigan is reeling. Rosen has played with a 5-2, a 5-1 and a 6-2 over the last month trying to find the right combination to balance offense and defense. Teams can load up on Mruzik if they know the other pins can't produce. The middles have been terrific, but passing breakdowns have reduced their effectiveness. Setting has broken down at the end of tight sets, its just been a big mess.
But Michigan being Michigan, they somehow manage to pull it all together and score a big upset every season even when the prospects look bleak. Could this be the day? Go Blue!

Go Blue! this is so accurate they always get that one big upset. last season it was minnesota in crisler… maybe they already got that one upset by beating penn state? who knows, anything can happen?

Sheff prematch: -Close first set against MSU was down to poor defense. They got better. -Sheff decided ahead of time that everyone was going to play on Friday against MSU -Challenges of playing a team only a week later - Scouting is easier! -They will make adjustments based on what happened last time.
Dildine prematch -Michigan definitely tried to mess up SR by dropping short serves. It messed with routes a bit. They worked on SR aspects of that. -Worked on serving since the last match -Defense sort of chased the UM hitters. Worked on defensive fundamentals -They really want to expose certain blockers on UM. Not sure if Rosens will adjust when they saw that. -Jess Robinson only had 9 swings last time (Dildine surprised!). She could be dangerous.

13-9 UW. TO UM after a double contact.
UW getting some separation on Ashburn's serve.

Until that last run by Izzy, a side out set so far. Good think, UW not making serving subs the first rotation, so still in pretty good shape on sub count.

Pati Rolf at R1 for this match. Referee royalty! That's a relief after watching that Purdue Minnesota match.
