Now that was a Monster Block by Smrek. I think I have changed my mind on Smrek's block - last year I felt like she just went up and put her hands over and didn't adjust to where the ball actually was. This year she's actively blocking, much more aware of where the ball is coming from. Take all that and add to it that she presses an extra six inches over the net and it's a nightmare for opponents hitting OOS. |

But I like rundown plays. So I'm OK with it. Badger women hockey used to play in the Kohl Center before LaBahn Arena was built. 2000 people in a 16000 arena feels completely different than the same 2000 in a 2000 person arena. If I were Michigan, I'd rather be in Cliff-Keen. I'm glad they chose otherwise. Trust me; both fans and players prefer Crisler. |
