You know it's a rivalry when the fanbases are arguing over latitudes. We are a polite rivalry. This is like an SNL Minnesota nice skit. 😉 Michigan can come too honestly.

So any word on Crawford's health? She had no blocks on Wednesday, and athough she had some positive block touches, she was struggling after the injury. I would assume Robinson to the middle if CC can't go or if they decide to rest her.

Would you like it better if I referred to them as merely 'out there'. That is if you don't like geographical references. 🤔 MSP latitude: 44.9 Madison latitude: 43.07 It's north, and halfway to the North Pole People in Minneapolis are soft. I know because I lived in Northern Minnesota.

I would assume Robinson to the middle if CC can't go or if they decide to rest her. She had one kill before tweeking her ankle, and two after; one in each set. Of course, it could have 'stiffened/swollen' after the match, and we won't know until they come out for warmups on Saturday, but I think it is likely she'll be there. If not, yes, I'd expect Devyn move to MB and Demps is Izzy's opposite.

I think you will see a different Minnesota team. A better Carter Booth and Gros subs for Husemann. McGhie subs for Wucherer on serve. Other Wucherer has been clobbering the ball. Crowl has subbed in at opposite and played a great game. I think Wisconsin will improve on their serving and blocks. So this is a tossup. However if Minnesota back line continues to play as well as they have in the last two games it will be a tip to the gophers.

I feel this match will say an awful lot of our (Badgers) setting and hopefully highlight it's progresses to this point in the season.
Now Minny will/should obviously roll blocking to Franklin. A giggling Franklin is one they do NOT want to see.
If Franklin gets frustrated then that makes Wisconsin more predictable and easier to dispatch.
I guess I just don't expect the Badgers to be THAT lethal in blocking and serving in consecutive matches so I think this game's trajectory progresses quite differently in comparison.
Wisconsin very much needs to keep errors to a minimum and in particular needs a plus outing from both setters to get this one in my opinion.

Can Wisc get up after a big W. I think so. Franklin playing well is the difference. I get to be at this one. Look forward to it!

Franklin came alive against huskers and it made a big difference. Will she be able to do the same against the gophers? I don't know, but I don't think the badgers have to rest on any one player to do well on offense. They have switched the focus of attack repeatedly between matches during the year. And they didn't hit that badly against the gophers in the first match.
It's the defense I worry about. Very good against the huskers, but bad D, especially on OOS swings, are what cost the badgers the match in Minneapolis. They just could not stop Minnesota. Man that was frustrating to watch. I still noticed that the block timing was not great on OOS swings against the huskers. They jumped the timing a bit. That worries me. Crawford being a little slow on the jump in the middle with her sore ankle worries me in a different way.
All that said, if the badgers can serve like they did Wednesday night, I have to favor them. I watch the badgers all the time, and those serves on Wednesday were scary. They have not served like that all year, and they have had some good serving games. In Minneapolis they could not keep the serves in the court.

Minnesota sweeps after Nebraska breaks Wisconsin's spirit. This didn't age well
