Northwestern cannot be left out of the tournament now Sure they can. And they can take Purdue with them. Yeah, they still need 3-4 or more wins, which isn't automatic. But they have great opportunities in Iowa, Michigan State (twice), and Indiana. Plus they could pull another upset - Illinois, Michigan, and/or Penn State - though would those wins really be substantial upsets at this point?
The only wins I would absolutely count on are Michigan State. But, I think they get enough wins for the tourney.

Does anyone know why Emma Ellis didn’t see the court?

Purdue is reeling, 4 straight losses. They went a long way on the strength of that relatively early season schedule and that win against Minny.

I don't know. I've watched them, and I think they are good enough.

Purdue continues to struggle and they will try to end the losing streak this Sunday when they host Indiana at 1PM ET before going to Michigan State next friday (11.04 at 6P ET on BTN) then for the Boilers the gauntlet of RV or Ranked Opps: @ (RV) Michigan (SUN 11.06 at 2PM ET) v. (6) Ohio State (THU 11.10 at 7PM ET) v. (11) Penn State (SAT 11.12 at 8PM ET on BTN) v. (RV) Michigan (FRI 11.18 at 7PM ET) @ (1) Nebraska (SUN 11.20 at 1PM ET on BTN) season ends: @ Maryland (11.23 at 7PM ET) and @ (11) Penn State (11.25 at 7PM ET) Boilers should beat IU, but the next five are tough, especially the Ohio St and Nebraska.

Mostly joking. It’s a great win, and would be great to have such a good academic school improve its place in BIG volleyball. I don’t really follow Purdue closely, but I have it in my mind that they seem to be prone to mini-collapses during the course of the season over the years.

purdue with 32, count 'em, 32 blocks. Blocks are usually momentum changers. Guess Purdue needed 33 or 34 to win.

I’m guessing 1 solo block, 1 triple block, and 14 double blocks. 16 team blocks. Great number but yeah definitely not 32.
