Alright, this was the one I was the most curious about (for Arizona): Kamaile Hiapo. She was just honored on social media, and I know she’s been promoting this as her senior night for a couple weeks. I’m 99% sure she was set on using her fifth year somewhere else, but has now opened up all of her options. I’ve thought since the extra year was announced that she would use the year at BYU, and I’m not sure my gut isn’t wrong, if both parties want that. But seems like she’s much more open than I anticipated. She’s an amazing libero and I wonder how high up she could go. But I also think she might want to explore professional options too, now that Zyonna Fellows plans to play professionally now. BYU makes sense. They need a great libero. Her brother played there, family is LDS. Please let this happen. |

This caught my eye: https://www.instagram.com/p/ClY3T-DOVX4 Northwestern is recognizing TEN seniors today and only two are out of eligibility (based on a quick roster review): -Abryanna Cannon has a Covid year if she wants it (and actually it looks like this year was only the second full season she's played). -Grace Reininga (rostered as a junior) has a senior year AND a Covid year if she wants it. -Desiree Becker (starter), Charlotte Cronister (consistent ds sub), Tatyana Hardwick, Olivia Haskins, Hanna Lesiak (starter), and Temi Thomas-Ailara (starter) have Covid years if they want them. -At Northwestern's sticker price, it might be hard to come back if no scholarship is available. For what it's worth, a lot of these players were likely not on scholarship to begin with, so it's unlikely they'll return. Biggest potential losses are ofc TTA and then Becker. Doubt Becker is coming back which is a shame, hopefully Hill can step up next year |
