No, they are overrated. They could've easily just lost in 4. San Diego is no #2 team in the nation, such a joke. They're getting waxed by any high caliber team in the tourney and I'd be SHOCKED if they made it to the Sweet 16. okay now i know you’re just trolling haha. USD would smoke Minnesota Purdue GT PSU Kentucky Florida if the tournament started now. Let’s call it the way it is. Number 1 in the WCC is probably 6th in the B1G, 4th in the ACC and SEC, and 3rd or 4th in the Big 12. PAC-12, I’m thinking 5th. |

The best teams in the country have been tested by RV teams. Nebraska themselves went to 5 with Northwestern not so long ago and Texas lost to Iowa State.
i'm not so worried about USD going 5 with LMU (a good team) and winning. i just hope USD can clean up the sloppy plays and bad passing...and not take 4.5 sets to get it together. in certain stretches they looked like the #2 team in the country and in others they didn't even look close.

The reality is USD would be 4th in B1G, 2nd in Big 12, 2nd in Pac12, and 1st in SEC, also 2nd ACC. |

All of this seems silly to me. I've watched a lot of volleyball this year. This was not USD's best outing, but I've watched every team not play at their best at various times. USD looks like a top 8 team without a doubt when they're on. They have an outstanding setter, multiple elite attack options, solid libero/defensive play, and good middles.
I don't know that they'd win every conference in the country, but given what I've seen out of the PAC/SEC/Big 10/Big 12/ACC, I feel confident they'd at least compete for the championship in every one of those conferences. Including the almighty Big 10.

and its funny how the trolls are coming out the one night San Diego has to go 5 with a Top40 team....
and in the era in which "anybody can beat anybody on any given night" San Diego has not fallen victim to that as their only loss continues to be Louisville. and haven't picked up a bad loss

I understand there can be national champions and great teams out of the B1G. San Diego could very well be the best team in the country. And I'll admit, I haven't watched them a ton. But at the end of the day I don't see them in the top 5. I don't see them coming close to being a Final 4 team. I had to come and troll because some of y'all were shoving the 40 straight sets narrative down my throat. The committee will nut over SD being a new team and probs let them be a 1 seed and host. then they will prove why they don't belong with the big dogs. If they prove me wrong??? Great and I can be more open-minded to teams like USD in the future. Love that y'all are riding for them, as small of a fanbase you are. And yes, Blossom>>>Hames. Goodnight, go big red. |
