Let’s call it the way it is. Number 1 in the WCC is probably 6th in the B1G, 4th in the ACC and SEC, and 3rd or 4th in the Big 12. PAC-12, I’m thinking 5th. The reality is USD would be 4th in B1G, 2nd in Big 12, 2nd in Pac12, and 1st in SEC, also 2nd ACC. Not so fast. They have solid wins vs. Pitt and Ohio State (in the first and fifth matches of the year.) Two squeakers against LMU, who has 1 player that plays at the altitude (6’5”) of many teams’ talent in the Power 5 conferences. If they hold on to the #2 seed, and they have tough matches at Pepperdine and at the Book of Mormon to close out their schedule, I’d be surprised that they’d make it through the second weekend and to Omaha. |

people are discrediting San Diego simply because they are not a Power 5 team... or dont compete in the B1G.... like sir you dont have to play in the best league to have a really talented team.... and its funny how the trolls are coming out the one night San Diego has to go 5 with a Top40 team.... and in the era in which "anybody can beat anybody on any given night" San Diego has not fallen victim to that as their only loss continues to be Louisville. and haven't picked up a bad loss In all honesty, I am not an idiot. I understand there can be national champions and great teams out of the B1G. San Diego could very well be the best team in the country. And I'll admit, I haven't watched them a ton. But at the end of the day I don't see them in the top 5. I don't see them coming close to being a Final 4 team. I had to come and troll because some of y'all were shoving the 40 straight sets narrative down my throat. The committee will nut over SD being a new team and probs let them be a 1 seed and host. then they will prove why they don't belong with the big dogs. If they prove me wrong??? Great and I can be more open-minded to teams like USD in the future. Love that y'all are riding for them, as small of a fanbase you are. And yes, Blossom>>>Hames. Goodnight, go big red. In all honesty, I am not an idiot. I understand there can be national champions and great teams out of the B1G. San Diego could very well be the best team in the country. And I'll admit, I haven't watched them a ton. But at the end of the day I don't see them in the top 5. I don't see them coming close to being a Final 4 team. I just don’t understand why people want to hate on teams like this? Like San Diego is so unproblematic. They are fun to watch. Their coach seems like a wonderful lady. They put together a great roster for this season. Why is it so fun to hate and call them overrated ? Like what did they do lmao? Like what did they do lmao? the teams they're rooting for are likely ranked lower than san diego and are currently competing in a tougher conference. also, some of them might be upset that a regional might not be hosted in their hometown because it could be given to san diego. your comments are totally right but it's all about who "deserves" or "has earned" the ranking & the host spot. |
