Lowkey, Grand Rapids is an absurdly beautiful city and is a liberal haven within Michigan's Bible Belt, if that matters to you. (Most of MI leans left, but we call the west cost the Bible Belt bc it 's weirdly conservative in comparison to the rest of the state.) Great place for young folks who are good at playing vball to live tbh! |

Interesting. That's the same location as one of the 4 locations the USPV chose 20 years ago. the owner owns a minor league hockey team (along with some other stuff)... they'll play in a 12,000 seat arena www.dpfox.com/sports/did the USPV thing have owners? oh this dude owns the Orlando Magic too... hmm interesting |

how many cities have been announced? Edit: Grand Rapids - MI Columbus - OH Dallas-Fort Worth - TX any other places? that's it so far. They'll release the others in the coming weeks I assume. (or try to get more teams together lol) |

Wasn't he a guy from Chicago, Kennedy or something? Yes, Bill (William) Kennedy. He also had a home in La Jolla (Ca). Granddaughter Kim Kennedy may have been the reason he funded the league. There was a team in Rochester, MN. Players included Lindsey Berg, Nicole Branagh, and Wiz Bachman. Kevin Hambly was an assistant coach for the team. |

Back then Italian volleyball magazines/sites gave us some news about USPV, since Giovanni Guidetti was involved with it (iirc he was hc of Grand Rapids; or Chicago?). |
