What is one week of watching from home? We all will be watching the tournament from home in two weeks! A loser is still a loser! Making it to the second week, let alone the second round is an accomplishment. You’re just trying to diminish that because your team couldn’t do it. I’ll get back at you after Baylor loses next week then we can officially talk about the past. That time you really have nothing to compare against Hawaii. We will be talking about, like I said, the past!

That’s all. Hawai choked lol no problem. They can still be called national champions. What say your team? Hawaii is a historic program. No arguing that. But that last national title was 35 years ago. They aren’t the same program they used to be and that’s what Hawaii fans refuse to admit.

And just to add to this trend: We should have done a better job blocking. Being out blocked 14-8 isn't healthy. Na Wahine forever!

What an accomplishment to finish in the top 16 with a team full of youngsters after losing 11 seniors.

No Hawaii fan is denying that. But a past title is still a title, which it more than Baylor has. And Hawaii has been able to stay competitive and relevant playing a sport whose landscape is dramatically different from years past. That is something that you haters refuse to admit. The one NCAA tournament they missed in 30 years was the one in which their season was cancelled by their conference. Baylor just drew a little over 1,000 fans in their subregional. Hawaii hasn’t had an attendance turnout that low since the 1980’s.

Too bad this week's trending volleyball topic, that has brought other teams' fans into a Hawaii-LSU thread can't give Hawaii publicity and money. Shucks! Many Hawaii fans are delusional because volleyball is the one program that the state can cheer about. But it is a struggle keeping up with the Power 5 conferences and their money. The NIL just makes it even tougher - maybe that's what will set the some P5 programs apart from other P5 programs and it will be a bigger struggle for the mid majors. That's really what the issue is and if Hawaii can stay relevant ... great! It's too bad we lost in the first round. It seems like getting into the tournament is one goal. And passing the first round is another. In the past, sometimes we've had horrific first round matchups. That's why when UH beat the Mississippi team from the SEC last year - I was like yay - 2nd round. It's hard for Hawaii to enter a regional nowadays. Of course Hawaii has many struggles (just look at the stadium debacle) - so yes, the volleyball programs keep some of us happy.
But back to the Hawaii delusion - you'll even see some civil wars amongst ourselves - sometimes I wonder if some that say they are UH/wahine fans are really fans. Lol!
For UH to improve, definitely need to up recruiting, and maybe Robyn could have coaches with more experience around her (I know beating a dead horse). As a Hawaii fan, I have also noticed not so many local girls on the Wahine team, maybe she could have more walk ons? But definitely, the top local prospects usually do not choose UH - maybe they want to get off the rock and/or getting off the rock to get to attend a mainland college is seen as a major accomplishment (yes, even if say a volleyball program is not as big as UH). But I'm sure there could still be some local walk ons (that maybe could earn an athletic scholarship one day). Hmmm ... maybe the assistant coaches should coach local club teams (that seems to be how they may have drawn some local talent into the local university in the past) - eg. Robyn at Imi Ike and when she also coached at Mau Loa (Tayli Ikenaga). Think the assistants could be doing that - then having even more connections into the juniors world and tourneys.
The conference could also be better! But it's a good conference for Hawaii ($$ wise). But again, it's hard to keep up with college $$$$ - especially $$$ that pours in from univeresities with fantastic football and/or basketball programs or even teams in conferences that have those programs.

Take away Baylor's P5 money and then come back and talk to me about success. Lol Ryan and all the P5's have literal treasure chests of money and NIL money up there a**es. Hawaii built their success and consistency from the ground up. The struggle is real but Coach Rob still finds a way. I applaud her and the staff including the girls. Baylor is not a NIL prominent school, get real. And McGuyre built the program from the group up and got to a Final Four in his 5th season. And there are plenty of non P5’s playing next weekend. Not an excuse But Baylor is flushed with P5 cash. Take that away and what exactly you got for your volleyball program? GTFOH Plenty non-P5 programs? It's Marquette, Houston (who will be P5 next year) San Diego. Hawaii made it to the sweet 16 In Coach Robs 3rd season. And so what?

Haha, this has been accomplishment is still hanging on our arena. Too bad you can’t buy one. That is sour. 😂 You get over it, you’ll be stuck in sweet sixteen or elite 8. Your team will never get a title in the next decade. Talk about present. The arena that was modeled after Baylor’s? Even Joshua Walker recognized the potential of the Baylor program. No, he recognized the money. And made the right decision imo. Something non-P5 schools will never be able to compete with. The fact we still compete when most other programs like the LBSU's and Pacific's have fell off is actually more impressive than I actually gave Hawaii credit for.

Okay, potential is different from reality. Get real. The reality is that Hawaii will be watching him coach next weekend. True. And the reality is, Baylor won't win a natty. At least we both can face reality.

Well, it doesn’t mean that football is doing it makes it right. It’s classless regardless of whoever is doing it.

I don’t think there’s a double standard. Football has been a classless sport for the majority of its existence. Different fanbases = different reactions. ESPECIALLY when you go after a team with a volleyball fanbase as strong as Hawaii’s. Also LOL at LSU football having a similar video vs Alabama. Maybe it’s the Athletic environment locally…
