Wright St. went 0-1 against the Top 50, lost to Iowa, best road win is RPI 84 Northern Kentucky and still got a subregional 3 seed because the Committee looked at their 47 RPI and found them geographically convenient. #MakeStrengthOfScheduleMatterAgain #ShouldntTeamsHaveToDoSomething Just as an additional reminder - Wright St. has a WORSE RPI than Pepperdine. So the Committee willfully elevated Wright St. over the Waves.

GA Tech looks really impressive. Do they have a weak point? Even when Julia is in the back row, their hitters are going off...

Wright State was out of sorts in this match. Yes, Ga Tech played very well but I have never seen WSU play so poorly.
I live close by and am able to go to several matches a season the past few years. Shame for Jenna Story to end on a loss like that. She is an absolute stud and deserving of all of her accolades. Not her best match. They really missed Setter of the Year, Lainey Stephenson. She and Story are both 5th years and responsible for the turnaround at WSU during their time there. Stephenson is a baller - a leader, a calming presence and a great, athletic setter. They mentioned it briefly that she suffered a season/career ending injury (achilles) during the broadcast in early November. I have no delusions that WSU wins this match if Stephenson is able to play but they definitely would have been competitive. The Story/Stephenson combo may be a once in a lifetime for a program like WSU. I have no idea who they have coming in but those two are going to be hard to replace.
Kudos to Ga Tech - they are a very good team with a great middle combo. WSU Coach Green really praised Bergmann in the local press, but she wasn't even needed with how poorly WSU played. Look forward to the next round and supporting and cheering for Ga Tech.
