Next year Kami needs to completely take over this team. Everyone has to be giving 110% effort and performance for fear that they might let Kami down.

Ugh Stanford you gotta be way more consistent. That was messsssssy They stil hit a crazy .377 on the match but I agree they had some silly errors that they've gotta clean up moving forward

Yeah, nuts! I can't remember the insane stats they put up in one USC match, but I don't think Wisconsin has done that against literally anyone!

Sometimes forget Rubin is a frosh, a lot of passing errors in set 3 I’m surprised it took Hambly so long to put the defensive specialist in.

Someone will create something for the next match, but I'll speculate a little here. LSU doesn't have a lot of size and relies entirely on two outside hitters. I'm not sure if either of them is an OPP. Their main squeeze is just 5'9". They had a win against Kentucky and took the Gators to five, but otherwise, meh. I didn't see the Hawaii match, but I suspect that Hawaii lacked the height to push LSU that hard. Stanford clearly has a problem with consistency. As others have said, Stanford seems to get very ordinary against average teams, so....

I couldn’t hear what he was saying, but Hambly looked like he was saying some not-so-nice things to the team after the match. sometimes you have to call out the Suckage. Stats may not show but I think Kipp had an off night. I expect tomorrow will be different.

Easy win in set one where you could see the "take no prisoners" mentality on the players faces. Good start in set 2, but then the stupid hitting errors on open looks started to creep in. Fortunately the Card received plenty of help from Pepperdine. Set 3 was a cluster-F of sloppy play, bad passing, missed blocks, and hitting errors. Set 4 there was some recovery of focus but it could have been better.

Still a shame how this match is a 1st round encounter.

Glimpses throughout the match. But plenty of lapses in focus, intensity, sprinkled throughout also. Although they missed some passes here and there too, I am guessing that their passing numbers for the match are probably pretty good. The first set and much of the second, every single pass was a 3. Miner never had to move.

LSU is gonna win this subregional! The selection committee's incompetence has rattled you! But I appreciate the levity. Hey. the odds of my statement actually happening have increased! Maybe only slightly, but, at least they advanced to have a fighting chance!

Maybe only slightly, but, at least they advanced to have a fighting chance! I think Mike's Pablo thread gives LSU a 10% chance. (going off memory) I watched both matches. I feel 10% is generous! But hey. Keep the hope alive, right?
