not many setters even internationally are making that set in transition. Really the only ones who like making flashy middles sets like that are Maja and Macris. We have to Stan blossom Just good vision. She saw that the ball was going to fall short and she positioned perfectly for a slight back-set. I will say, Misty May could have made that set easily, as well as a full back-set to the pin. GOAT |

It sucks that setter is arguably the deepest position for USA, (as far as I can tell), cause blossom is that good.

Blossom does not dump too often, but tbh she doesn't really need to, she has so many weapons around her

So I don't know anything about setting, but it sure seems like Blossom reliably sets the ball at a height where her hitters are contacting the ball at the highest contact point. Blackwell and Edwards especially seem to be fully extended often when they contact the ball.
Am I imagining that? Is it a good thing for hitters to contact it at the highest point? These are actual questions- never played volleyball at a high level.
