Frogs and Dawgs will battle it out to see who gets to be crushed by a giant well-oiled Badger.

In past years, the teams would hold open-to-the-public practices the day before the matches. Apparently, it was mandated by the NCAA, and they no longer mandate the practices. Darn it! I had been planning on going to some again this year. It was interesting, seeing how the different teams practiced differently, what the did and didn't emphasis, etc.

There are a lot of snoozers in the first round this week. But this matchup, TCU/Wash, may be the most competitive of all the 1st round matches.

Frogs and Dawgs will battle it out to see who gets to be crushed by a giant well-oiled Badger. All Purple. I watched part of the TCU @ Oklahoma match on ESPN+ last night. I was especially impressed by Audrey Nalls. She's a "baller". Adams is also pretty good (but doesn't play six rotations). UW's right-side block has been pretty weak. I'm expecting a tussle.

Nalls had 16 kills as Texas swept TCU 25-20, 15, 17 if she can limit her errors and the TCU setter can spread the ball around they're dangerous

Since people keep talking about it....
UW has never lost in the round of 64.
There have been years they were not in the tournament at all (most recently 2001). There have been years when they lost in the round of 32 when that was the first round (most recently 1989). But they have never lost in a round of 64.
Most recent: Champions (2005) Lost in round of 2 (never) Lost in round of 4 (2020-2021) Lost in round of 8 (2019) Lost in round of 16 (2021) Lost in round of 32 (2017) Lost in round of 64 (never) Not in tournament (2001)
