This is a very different TCU team than the one we saw in August. I expect it to be a fun match.
I hope whatever funk Orzoł was in last night is resolved.

I was confused by TCU's uniforms last night. What was with the reddish accent? All the purple schools hate their purple and show as little as possible it seems. I'm always amused when somebody comments on uniforms and color, sleeves, etc. There was red? There wasn't purple? No clue, no recollection at all. During warmups, everybody was wearing purple. And the only reason I noticed that was until I spotted Callie Williams on one side and I forget her first name Grote on the other, I couldn't tell who was who.

Went to a TCU football game on their campus last week, they have a pretty cool Hall of Fame area in their basketball arena where they display all their current uniforms. The "red" is actually a reddish magenta accent color that the use sometimes with their purple and gray. It's pretty unique.

As someone who attended the 2011 Rose Bowl, I am willing to admit I would like a bit of post season revenge on TCU

This could be an incredible day for TCU athletics. On a personal note I know multiple people who went to TCU and they are either incredibly kind and reasonable or incredibly obnoxious lol. But I guess that’s just about every fan base.

I have never entirely understood why TCU calls themselves horned frogs. The species of the genus Phrynosoma which are common in Texas are officially called horned lizards, or more colloquially, horny toads. I don't think I remember anyone in Texas calling them frogs. Because they are lizards they definitely are not either frogs or toads, which are both amphibians. There are several genera of "horned frogs," none of them native to Texas (South America, Indonesia, SE Asia).
Maybe they just didn't like the word lizard? As a Christian University, it reminded them of the snake in the garden of Eden perhaps?

Someone said she had five errors when she was pulled. She only had two and a few uncharacteristic passes which didn't ultimately coat the team. I rewatched the game and I think she wasn't as people are making it out to be.

Maybe coach is trying to give people rest, while also making sure to get a key player like Demps some extended playing time so she’s ready. Franklin left early in the 3rd, IIRC, which makes a lot of sense with playing on consecutive days and playing less than 24 hours after their last match started.

I was quite pleased to see Demps get extended time last night. She did very well. One thing I’ve always liked about Demps is that she swings freely. Much less tipping and rolling. Yes, there’s a time & place for that, but there’s also time to just get up there and bang, and she does.

She is a pretty low error hitter, and the badgers were making errors in that first set. Orzol got pulled after passing a free ball into the middle of the net, which seemed like the 3rd or 4th time a badger had made a dumb mistake like that. I'm guessing Sheff had made a point that they needed to stop the sloppy play, and Orzol was just the next to make a mistake.

Anyway, I'm really glad Demps is there. I understand why she doesn't start, but she doesn't disappoint whenever she comes in. Whether it's for Franklin or Smrek or Robinson or Orzol. She has been a critical 6th man... or should I say 8th woman.
As for TCU, Nalls obviously is the big weapon. Badgers will obviously be trying to shut her down, probably by matching Hart and Robinson up with her as much as possible. The lizards will have to lean a little bit more on Simpson and Williams.
Speaking of purple teams, I see TCU lost the big 12 football championship to the other purple team today.

Yep. Didn't attempt a field goal in OT and didn't get the first down and then K State kicks and wins.

Sheff prematch TCU is very different team. Was coaching staff's first match. Running a 5-1 now, were running a 6-2 in August. Most important player didn't start in August. New RS. New libero. The setter is very good. Badgers are also very different. Was remembering what they were doing when watching film of previous match. Hart only played one set!
White prematch They have changed drastically since previous match. Nalls only took 11 swings in the match. She takes 11 per set now. She's good. Running a fast left pin go like the gophers and run crossing patterns like badgers used to do with Duello.
