It's normally better to be a little cautious in making predictions; but after watching both teams play yesterday, I just don't see how LSU takes a set from Stanford.
They will get a few great kills from the middle; but that won't be enough.

LSU’s website says Stanford is the #5 seed 😉
A couple of their pins hit <0.200 against Hawaii, however, their middles had better numbers with Anwusi being one of them.
I like Stanford’s chances on this match. Hopefully Baird will be consistent in tournament.
And just for some extra motivation - winner of this match gets the winner of Houston and Auburn.

Stanford is usually good for 1.25 sets of mediocre flat footed play Yeah, pretty much that's what they did last night. If they could bring what they did to USC at home or WSU on the road to Maples tonight, then no contest. Fortunately for Stanford, LSU is also good for 1.25 or more sets of mediocrity. (Maybe it's because they just love to go 5 sets with opponents of any level lol) |

I feel that Louisiana State might make one or two sets pretty close; predict a Card sweep. |

Hawaii had 32 hitting errors vs LSU. Stanford is going to win easily. Yeah. I’m no expert on the LSU team, but I was at their match yesterday, and their passing was pretty awful. It’s hard for me to see them playing competitively with Stanford, even if Stanford isn’t especially sharp. |
