That's certainly how I viewed it. It's like the backup quarterback or point guard transferring to be the starter. I have no more resentment of Fields transferring than I do Hudson Card. I miss seeing her in a Longhorn uniform because she's so gifted and so much fun to watch. She put Texas on her back multiple times during her career. I wish her nothing but success, and continue to enjoy watching her in a USC uniform. I know she throws shade at Texas regularly, but I choose to ignore that and be glad that she seems to be enjoying herself. I hope she reaches all her career goals in volleyball. But with Skinner on board, it's not like she was a huge loss. Like I said previously, both Fields and Texas are better off with her departure. Skinner is a MAJOR upgrade from Fields. wish her the best, but better this way. 100 in agreement with you Does someone who wishes a player “the best” needlessly bash her on an internet forum? I’m sure they are all given pretty even chances. If what is shown at SC was the effort she was putting in at Texas it’s pretty clear why she didn’t play 6 ros |

Wilson for USC looks promising. She moves well and has really good body control to play six rotations. I think Fields should explore yoga or some other physical activity that explores a lower center of gravity to supplement what she does with volleyball if she wants to be a really effective six rotation player. She at times just looks a step behind or out of balance when playing defense or even sometimes in serve receive. This is something I also noticed when she played for Texas.
