She will have access to a lot of big time volleyball knowledge while here. She can pick the brain of one of the best coaches in women volleyball in Dave Shoji and also learn a few things from the coaches of our 2 times national championship Warriors. With our history of developing AA middle blockers from Heather Bown, Angelica, Victoria Prince, Olivia Magill, Brittney Hewitt, Amber Kaufman and now Amber Igiede, Mili will be in a good place. I think you mean Maglio instead of Magill. Magill was already a high-level middle transfer and Maglio was raw. Forgot about Maglio but I did mean to mentioned Olivia. Yes, Olivia was a high level MB coming in but she never made AA while at UA. I do think Shoji and staff helped elevated her game to AA level. Not sure Dave Rubio produced much AA MB while he coached at U of A. Yes….add Mags to that list of AA middle blockers. How the heck I forgot the best one of all….Deitre Collins?

I think if she hits the bic well and can create kills for herself in the front row she has a good chance. But I do think there’s enough depth that she’ll have her work cut out for her and might not be a regular starter right away.

Not to mention all the open gyms all over the Oahu where she can play and keep in shape and learn from former players older than her. Men's recruit Justin Todd stated that it was hard to find people to play/train with during the off season in his home town of Houston so he moved to Hawaii for his senior year of HS to get ready for college. Mili should be more than ready to go when she enrolls at UH and begin practice as a Wahine.

Very impressed by her maturity. She understands that balance is key to handling a student-athlete's added pressures and stresses. I have no doubt that she is ready for her next stage of life, being a Wahine is an honor that will change her life forever.

I wonder if Robyn will give Kendra the open scholarship if a good fit can't be found. Kendra has put in the work and worked her way from walk on into a starter. She also is attending graduate school and would be worthy of one....just like how Robyn gave one to MeKenna Ross her senior year.

Wouldn’t be surprised with this, even if she ends up moving full time to being a hitter rather than DSing, and ends up seeing less playing time, I think she’s proof that putting in the work in this program pays off.

I know we haven’t seen what Matias can really do yet but I would love to see the program go after a setter like Charlotte Glass out of Tribe. A setter with some legitimate net presence who has the bulldog mentality I know Robyn wants in her setters.

I’m sure Robyn is trying for those type of players, but considering glass is going to be recruited by every major program in the country, it’s a hard sell to get her to come here
