Stand by for a rant. And now, the rant. What's the NCAA's obsession with doing some of the biggest VB games of the year on Thursdays. Day one of the regionals. Day one of the finals. For west-coasters who work a typical 9-5 day, this first day of regionals has only one match that starts after 5 p.m. On a Thursday. Overheard in the ESPN board room: "We've got a great ladies sport here, fellas. How can we hide it?" I think/assume that WVB wanted a day rest between 3rd and 4th round - not ESPN wanting Thursday instead of Friday. The best solution (which would require ESPN to get on board) - two regionals on Thursday/Saturday and two on Friday/Sunday. This would make those Thu/Fri matches in the evening.

Sunday NFL though.
The more realistic option to keep the regional matches on ESPN would be Wed/Thu and Fri/Sat.

I assume that Louisville will be the first cluster and Stanford last (bc time zones). Then assume that Texas as t 1 seed will get their pick of the earlier or later of the midday slots, and that they’ll pick the later one. So I assume Wisco will have the noon and 2 PM ET slots,

My guess:
11am Baylor vs. Louisville 1pm Nebraska vs. Oregon
12pm Texas vs. Marquette 2pm Minnesota vs. Ohio State
3pm Penn State vs. Wisconsin 5pm Pittsburgh vs. Florida
7pm San Diego vs. Kentucky 9pm Stanford vs. Houston

Looks like the #1 seeds all get the second match.

Oregon winning first thing in the morning Is going to put me in a good mood for the rest of the day! Sucks for the Ducks that they got the last Round of 32 match on Saturday night, while Nebraska finished 24 hours earlier. And, now the Ducks get the 11 AM Eastern match in Louisville against the Huskers.
