I'm putting Ohio State's chances of beating Texas at 50%. If they get good Londot, game over. From what I'm hearing, this was far and away her best match ever. Will be pretty tough to duplicate that, I would think

I certainly hope this result leads the Minnesota AD to look beyond Houck as a replacement. The program needs a different kind of shot in the arm to move to the next level.

If tOSU team that outplayed MN today plays with equal intensity on Saturday TX will have its hands full. A few years ago MN beat WI on a night where Rettke had ~30 kills.
The only way to overcome an overpowering match like Londot had today is to play in system and counterpunch with a varied attack MN was not able to pass well enough to do so.
At critical points MN was prone to ceding tempo because they were not able to terminate.
MN has a lot to build on for next year, particularly, if Wenaas doesn't jump ship to take a left pin role with another team. Booth's youthful lack of experience showed a bit. You cannot violate the setter's air space.
I think tOSU showed their potential. They've put that 4 match blip behind them and I have every hope to watch them in Omaha.

Dang I really was thinking Minnesota would take this easily. Felt like they were at a high and OSU was at a low. Guess not.

First set was very good for MN, and from set 2 until the end it felt like MN was constantly OOS. Meanwhile, OSU always seemed to be in system.

Congrats to tOSU. I love JFO and I hope they find a way to handle Texas. I love Hugh and will miss him and hope the new coach can work on our backcourt. It looks like we will keep Landfair, Wenas, Booth, and Wucherer based on social media, and I hope that is true because we will be a strong team.

Do you have any intelligence regarding Wenaas and Booth staying? I'm aware of the Instagram post regarding Landfair and Wucherer, plus Shaff's NLI.

I'm glad Ohio State is finding their groove again. (I'm looking at you Emily!) And honestly, you can't help but root for JFO. Congrats to them! Sad to see McGraw, who has been such a steady libero over the years, finally end her collegiate playing days. She was never the flashiest, but she did her job at a level that's hard to replicate. Gros, I need you in the B1G offices tomorrow to start a broadcasting gig! CC's 17 digs today moved her past Christine Tan for 2nd all-time as a Gopher.

My heart goes out to Hugh, what an incredible coaching career and class guy. Will be seriously missed on the court.
Congrats to the Bucks, you have the experience to give Texas a run!
