I definitely agree this early game time is an opportunity lost to showcase the great sport of volleyball. It will make it hard for many fans to see the game live and that's not good for the sport. I believe that volleyball is trending up in popularity and it's too bad the NCAA isn't capitalizing on this chance to showcase a couple of excellent programs. Penn State at Nebraska regional semi-final back in 2016 was played at 11 AM Central time.

Usually Nebraska was "manipulated" to be in prime time, or at least later afternoon, due to their large fan base, but I'm glad it's finally being discussed more generally. Sheffield has advocated for a 4 day event, Thursday-Saturday and Friday-Sunday to get more matches in prime time.

There's honestly something nice IMO about being able to watch the main matches you want to watch on Thursday, and then waking up on Friday morning to watch the secondary tier matches you were waiting to watch with replay. Fast forwarding through challenges, etc. It provides a buffer between waiting for the Saturday finals for me, as long as you can be disciplined enough to avoid spoilers and smart enough to click in the right places

Ducks like to eat corn. Lewis & Clark defeats William Jennings Bryan 3 -1.
Or not. Who knows

Ok, weird, just checked ncaa.com, game is now slated at 9am pst, not 8am... It does appear to have been pushed back an hour. The bracket now shows it starting at 10:00 my time.

Ok, weird, just checked ncaa.com, game is now slated at 9am pst, not 8am... Maybe the NCAA is unaware of the change from Daylight Saving Time to Standard Time.

Ok, weird, just checked ncaa.com, game is now slated at 9am pst, not 8am... It looks like the times for all the matches changed. I don't see any notice anywhere about a time change for the matches being played in Madison; nothing on the UW web site, nothing on their twitter feed, no emails to ticket holders, etc. If it is changing or has changed, they'd need to tell the ticket holders, and at the moment, that hasn't happened for the matches in Madison. FWIW. Adding: there's an article on the main NCAA VB site posted Dec 6th 7:45 AM (some time zone or other) which lists the 'original' match schedule. So....
