Updated roster with two recent transfer additions.
OH: Emoni Bush (JR), Madi Endsley (JR)-also OPP, Audra Wilmes (RS-SO)-also OPP, Kierstyn Barton (FR) OPP: May Pertofsky (SR) MB: Elise Hani (RS-FR), Katy Wessels (FR) S: Kayce Litzau (GR), Molly Wilson (RS-SO), Olivia Mikkelsen (JR)-also used as DS L/DS: Lauren Bays (JR), Grace Zilbert (SR), Maeve Griffin (RS-FR), Brooke Huard (FR)-also OH
Seems like every spot is filling out, but still need another MB, and could use a 6 rotation OH. I don't see a 6-2 being run unless more pin hitters are added though.

She only played opposite last year because Endsley went out with injury and she was the best option on the roster, opposite is not her natural position. We will likely see a variation of a 6-2 next year. Barton likely redshirts but I think she'll be in the opposite depth chart.

Wilmes was just put into OPP due to Endsley's injury, though OH is her natural position. With the setter options, a variation of a 6-2 makes sense, though seems like we might need another pin hitter to make it work reliably. With a player struggling or injured, makes it very difficult to sustain.

For the curious like me, what is an "international style 6-2"?

For the curious like me, what is an "international style 6-2"? For 6-2 in college, you sub S/OPP every time when the other setter goes to the front row. We can’t do that for international/professional balls because of limited subs. However, some teams would utilize the back up setter and opp once every set, meaning the backup S/Opp go in for 3 rotations and out.

An international style 6-2 is when they keep the setters in to hit in the front row (like the Cubans used to do). I'm not sure which S on the roster has an arm though.

Based on Litzau's stats from last year, she is pretty active at net. 76 kills for the season. She also avg'd 2.44 digs per match too. So she could be used up front if needed. Molly's stats are low as she hasn't played as much, so hard to know if she would be better in the front or back. Having watched her a few times, I didn't see her as active in the front, so backrow setter is likely her best spot-all assuming they go with a 6-2. Molly does have a good serve too, in my recollection.

For the curious like me, what is an "international style 6-2"? I should have clarified - I wasn’t suggesting 2 six rotation setters that both set and hit, I meant a set double sub per set where a new setter and opposite come in for 3 full rotations before subbing back out for the starters, but it’s only for 3 rotations per set, which, in the NCAA game, would comfortably allow for a DS.

Or a "Cuban 6-2", since the Cuban National Team was best known for deploying two setter/hitters. One of the weaknesses of the "regular 6-2" (swapping setter and opposite every three rotations) is that deploying a DS or SS can be more difficult, in that, especially in a "side-out battle", you run the risk of running out of subs, even at 15. That can put stress on having two six-rotation OHs who can both hit and pass. UW, at best, has only one, Wilmes, who comfortably fits that bill.
