transfer of the decade for UW lmao He chased the money, I can’t blame him… it’s what people do unless they have an untouchable reason to stay in a particular location. I'm sure the money's good. But I'd think seeing the PAC12 walls crumbling had something to do with it.

I'm not at all sure I believe that, although it's certainly possible. Also, if you are in the same conference as Stanford you are always going to be fighting an uphill battle for recruiting.

Tougher than Nebraska, Penn State, and Wisconsin? Better money, but is Minnesota weather really worth it?

Again, I think it's more than just money that appeals to coaches considering moves to the B1G. They have been smart about TV coverage, social media and attendance promotion. Coaches realize there's more competition, and more potential.
Nebraska, Wisconsin and Minnesota all finished in the top 5 in D1 WVB average attendance last season. That has become typical.
7 of the top 15 attendance leaders are B1G teams.
The PAC has ZERO teams in the top 10 in average attendance.
Other than Stanford, the last time the PAC had a team in the championship match was more than a decade ago. The B1G is a more regular visitor to the final.
An Oregon State assistant basketball coach resigned recently saying the school doesn't have the resources to attract and support student-athlete's NIL efforts.
The world is changing. The B1G seems to be riding the wave - the PAC seems to be searching for their life jacket.

I noticed that Manolo Conception is no longer listed as an assistant coach on the UW Volleyball website. He also removed Washington volleyball from his instagram.
What's going on?

That marks our first transfer in 9 years Walk-on (walk-off?) DS Kate Moran left winter quarter, so beat Bibs by a few months.

With the third setter transferring out, do we think Washington could still run a 6-2 this season? I feel like I could see a 5-1 with Litzau

My guess is that we will see both 5-1 and 6-2 offenses before the conference schedule begins, with both setters given a chance to prove themselves in a 5-1. Given the lack of a third setter and the possibility of injury or illness, it only makes sense to give both setters reps in a 5-1. OTOH, and assuming healthy setters, a 6-2 might be better for the team.

It would seem that Justice McGraw was brought in to fill the void left by Concepcion. Perhaps Michael Brunsting is now Gabriel's primary assistant. I doubt we would see any further changes to the staff at this late date. The question is why Concepcion left the program after such a short time.

Sorry, too easy.

Justice was announced on June 12. The new posting for an assistant coach was dated June 16. This suggests that UW is intending on finding a replacement for Manolo.
Another way to look at it is: Justice is in charge of of DS/Libero. Tui has in the past been in charge of MBs and blocking. Brunsting was a setter in college, so he may be in charge of setter. There may be a need for someone to coach OH/OPP
