Liv must plan on staying putt at UNC. Her dad Allen just accepted a job at ECU Football in Greenville as their new offensive coach. About 90 mins from UNC.

I was wondering if anybody knows if Jade Demps was ever a consideration.

I was wondering if anybody knows if Jade Demps was ever a consideration. Im not sure.....Joe was in conversation with another OH transfer and the team found out and several girls threatened to leave if he doesnt stop taking grad transfers in while he could be developing them.... As you see no transfers came in....

Joe and Co recruit the girls, promise them a grand role, then they burn eligibility for one or two sets on the season while he brings someone else in over them. Or he redshirts them and never uses them. If it wasn't a pattern it would be different. If he is going to listen to parents threaten him to pull their kids if he don't play them, I don't see why the girls cant say "hey I am invested in this program, and i want you as my coach to be invested in my development or I will choose to be somewhere that is invested in me."

The mere fact that this is a pattern should be a warning to prospective players. We weren’t aware of this when we did an unofficial visit, but in our talks with the program we got the feeling like we should be honored to be considered by UNC because of its history. My daughter disagreed and went elsewhere.

Impressive school for sure, it was interesting you mentioned the part about being "honored to be considered". After speaking with a few PSA's that visited UNC this past summer. They mentioned the EXACT same thing. The PSA's felt it was a bit over the top. Certainly turned them off for sure.

We just figured other girls were higher on their radar which is all part of the game. Making the hallowed history of the MBB team the selling point for the WVB team didn’t make sense to me. It was a dream of mine to visit the campus so at least that happened.

I was wondering if anybody knows if Jade Demps was ever a consideration. I would imagine the history between Jade Demps mom and Mike, I highly doubt UNC was ever in consideration.

Didn’t know there was prior history. That also explains not going after a quality player. When I saw she was from Raleigh, I just wondered if she was a consideration.

My daughter disagreed and went elsewhere. I’ve heard on multiple occasions that sentiment extends past prospective athletes into the program quite extensively… to a point where after several complaints about the culture in the program, instead of addressing the issues of the players, the response from the staff was “you should be thankful to be at UNC.”

Using other programs to sell theirs is overcompensating for lack of quality within your own program.
