A coin flip you know this 5 setter could have gone either way hard to lose and it’s why these sting so much more.

Baird didn’t look 100% not making excuses but someone else mentioned it and then I looked and she looked sick maybe cold or something hope it’s not contagious. Also as good as Francis was they got stuck in the Ro with her and Rubin hard to set someone you haven’t played with too consistently since October they had their opportunities. San Diego I wasn’t always a believer but I watched so much and knew it could have been done. Their resilience after what happened in the first and being down match point in the 4th but no let. Blossom Lukes Edward’s and Frohling are special. Hope they can give Texas a run for their money. Baird has a game face. Looked typical to me. And, she does have these games where she isn't at her best. Sorry she had one tonight. Of course, the opponent can have a lot to do with that.

that point at 10-9 was the key. Great dig by Lukes, great cover by Bennett, a couple of poor touches by Francis, and then the back row decided to take a nap.

I know they said Kipp was staying but this result pretty much confirms it lol Meanwhile Buzzerio scores 3 of Pitt final 4 points to lead her team to a final four. That’s a 1st Team AA performance Kipp can only carry her team so far, she won an entire set by herself cmon now

I watch plenty of Baird she isn’t a very emotional player but she looked off gassed for sure

watching San Diego all season long was a blast.... being there since day1, I knew how good this team could be. I wasn't one of the latecomers that showed up bc their team got eliminated. there were sooooo many doubters out there... not naming names because you know who you are.... they counted San Diego out every single chance because they weren't Power 5, or whenever they dropped a set, apparently they weren't legit. The committee didn't give them a Top4 seed because they were not 'dEsErViNg' of it. well guess what my Toreros are going to the Final !!!!###$$$!!!ING Four and they continue to show that if you have talent you can go as far as possible. you don't need to be a B1G or PAC team, all you need is solid pieces and great coaching. thank you for coming to my F*****g TED TALK Yikes. I'm actually with you, but that was the worst Ted Talk ever.

They literally have every piece of the puzzle. They have an elite setter, an elite libero, elite hitters, and serve, pass, and defend well. They are an elite team this year and they belong in the Final 4.

Stanford is going to be really good next year. But if they want to be elite, make a final four, and compete for a national title, they have to get those middle attempts WAY up. 21 attempts in an intense five set match? no sir.

I thought Mike Johnson was in hiding until they said his name. I always notice him over there and thought it was interesting that they never mentioned him. I rather think he prefers it that way.

imo Blossom is the best setter in the country, followed by Miner (an argument can be made for Pukis as well). her ability to take mediocre or terrible passes and create great hitting opportunities is unmatched Miner did not play like the second best setter in the country… way too predictable, not enough middle Perhaps. I do think Hambly sometimes reminds her. But, she would use the midfle more if the middles were better offensively. There is a reason Paul and Missy didn't highlight them.

Those weren't bad sets to Kipp, just good defense. In that last run, Rubin had about 6 good looks against Blossom and just couldn't score.
