Kassidy O’Brien commits to Kentucky. Felt like this was pretty known for a while now. Seems like a really solid pickup so hopefully we can add some other top players in this class with her.

Kassidy did a great job of making adjustments to her team's strengths. looking forward to seeing her in Blue!

I'd argue her club team is comparatively small next to some of the other big Open competitors. Their leading scorer on the outside is 5'9. Their other two pins are 5'11. I think O'Brien is actually the second-tallest in their starting lineup behind Pfefferkorn.

Where do you think she ranks with the rest of the setters in this class? Hard to judge just by “rankings” alone.

Kentucky is a major player in Texas for women indoor volleyball recruits. A good state to have a major foot in the door reputation. It seems around the Houston region.

'25 DS/L Trinity Ward commits to Kentucky. The trend continues landing a homegrown talent at that position.

The '25 roster has four players at OH and DS/L, and two setters. Only two players on the roster at MB (Williams and Bultema), same two that would be on the '24 roster. Have to think they're looking at the transfer portal in '24, and need at least one or two recruits there in '25. Maybe Goetzinger has a COVID year in '25?

Goetzinger’s covid year would be 2024 if she so chooses. She’s out of eligibility by 2025.

Just a few weeks away from start of season.. thoughts on 2023 Cats?
What freshmen start? Can Sarafa push Grome at all? I'm interested at the depth of arms we have on offense this year.
