Who do you think UK brings in to fill in for Anders? I would say someone with a lot of experience and possibly even someone who has experience coaching the offense. I think Gray-Walton has to be in the conversation. Any other guesses?? I’d be surprised if G-W came back. I felt like that relationship went as far as it could on both sides. She might be the only good option Skinner can find, I suppose. But I would look for him to go in a different direction.

Congrats to UK on its 2023 recruiting class - volleyballmag.com/2022-vbm-hs-all-americans-123022/ Three of the top 14, and Molly Tuozzo on the second team... I was sour earlier this year when we lost out on Bergen, Swindle, Bunton, etc., but the players they signed have all risen significantly in the estimation of evaluators all season long.

Yeah I don’t think Kentucky has that effect lol.
Outstanding job by skinner and his staff identifying the talent and getting them on board. Could see this class accomplishing quite a bit much like the Lilly, Curry, Avery skinner class back in 2017.

Skinner may have juice with one of them, but I doubt all of them. Sarafa has clearly ascended greatly in everyone's eyes, and I've seen pretty consistent and elevated praise for the other three also.

Not saying players dont deserve accolades: but experience tells me these services ask coaches for their opinions and services ask who you recruiting: its not always intentional juice: but if 3top programs say they like player A she’ll end up on a list someplace for sure

Kentucky isn't running a 6-2 next season, not happening because if it was Grome would already be in the transfer portal. I don't care how good the incoming freshmen is going to be, playing major D1 college volleyball is a huge step up for Setters.

Still some really big arms sitting in the transfer portal - thinking Kentucky is getting at least one OH from the portal

Don’t see Kentucky grabbing another outside from the portal after landing Megan Wilson. Between her, Lamb, Melby and the freshmen Kentucky should have enough weapons there.

I agree. and with Bultema coming and goetzinger, tealer, and Williams returning, that should allow for flexibility on the right pin as well if ever needed tealer could move over. I do think people are getting a little carried away with the 6-2. we dont really have the passing OHs for that, and its incredibly rare that a freshman setter is going to be good enough to split time with a 2 time 2nd team all American and reigning SEC player of the year. grome is also not really a liability in the front row and puts up a decent block. id imagine the difference between grome in Sarafa this fall is going to be pretty big

Skinner and Nelson have always done a great job at spotting underrated talent. Feel like bumping up a previous post of mine:
Just for a little of perspective, Stumler is a great example of why having the biggest names/number 1 recruits isn't everything. Stumler was the #38 recruit in her class. She's even acknowledged she probably wouldn't have even played front row at many B1G programs! She worked her a$$ off for 4 years to become a National Champion and First Team All-American. Avery Skinner was the #32 recruit. Same story.

Honestly, Tuozzo could be the biggest difference maker for the Cats next year. I think her, Beason, and Whitworth can get us back to being one of the top passing teams in the country.

Anyone have any insight on Jordyn Williams' recovery? Achilles injuries can be functionally career-ending, and she only played seven sets this past season. I also know it can take more than a year to fully recover. It would be great to see her return to the form that made her the 8th ranked senior in her high school class, and UK could use another top tier talent at MB.
