I think Pitt in 5 here. This is a team that you just can’t ever count out, and they are playing great volleyball right now.

I think the one thing we can expect: Louisville will not play as bad as they did in Pittsburgh (for two sets). Pitt will not play as bad as they did in Louisville (all 3 sets)

It’s like so iconic that they both made it back this year. Proving last year wasn’t a one off. They really said yea we are coming back lol

I really doubt Louisville smokes Pitt like they did last week. but I still expect it to be a 3-1 decision in favor of the Cards

Louisville in 5. DeBeer and Chaussee both finish with 18+ kills as Aiko hits right around or under .100. Buzz hits the 20 kill mark (thinking she reaches 22 like the first game against UL) but Pitt can’t get past struggles from the other three pins, especially Ennis in the SR game.

Does anyone know what’s up with Dalton? Thought she was injured and then saw her play against Wisconsin on Saturday. Surely Ennis didn’t beat her out.

I don't have any inside intel beyond what the announcers have said about it during the tournament- to my recollection they never pinpointed what her injury is during the broadcasts. She has suited up each match but has been wearing one of those rehab heat/massage belt things around the hip/low back area on the sideline. Only played briefly during the Wisconsin match.

I'm profiling each of the 4 teams in the Final Four. smartervolley.substack.com/p/how-to-beat-louisvilleMost of the post is behind paywall, but if any of you DM me, I'll unlock you for a week to read it. (But it would also be cool if you wanted to become a full-time subscriber ) Going to have the USD post up later today and then the Texas and Pitt posts tomorrow.

Starting lineups added. Let me know if anyone has any fun facts about Louisville or Pitt to add. Pittsburgh has 446 bridges, the most of any city in the world. (the coolest ones are the three sisters BTW) IIRC Louisville and Pitt are two of the oldest public universities in the US. But not the oldest. I think that is UNC maybe?
