Personally, I think that while TX obviously has a ton of talent this year, I think the biggest difference I see in them is their on-court attitude. I think the culture of the program is at an all-time high. Yes, the players with winning track records being infused into the program is helpful -- but seeing as how much fight SD has in them, even at 22-20 TX in the 4th, I thought they would force a 5th, but this new TX culture just closed the door and said "NO!" Proud of both teams, but excited to see what Logan can do in the natty. She deserves this weekend. In men's sports, we would never attribute upgrading skills gap resulting in better outcomes as "culture." That's simply untrue. You're looking for a sexist narrative that's not there. I'm not saying there is no sexist narrative. I'm just saying this isn't one of them.

"program culture" v/a/v transfers is mentioned in almost every men's basketball or football production I've watched this year.

halter was incredible in serve receive, would love to see her passing numbers. SD went after her bc she’s a freshman and kudos to her for not cracking under the pressure They don't know Baby Spice. That girl is tough AF

Talk about a demolition. Plummer and co. took no prisoners on that fateful Thursday night this texas team vs 2018 stanford - who wins Stanford

I'm not saying there is no sexist narrative. I'm just saying this isn't one of them. people love narratives no matter the gender of the players. “The players came together, played with heart, and believed in each other, refusing to lose sight of what they’re working for” is better than “we didn’t use to pass good so we brought in players who pass good, yay”

I'll just say this. This is the best team Texas faced all year. And San Diego just faced the best team they've played all year. San Diego just wasn't used to having an opponent put this much pressure on their serve receive, provide this big of a block, have this good of a floor defense, and have this many hitters who can formidably terminate. Great season Toreros. It was fun to watch this USD team all season. Anyone criticizing Blossom is off their rocker. That said, it's great seeing Texas play with so much composure after the extended point loss in the first set. Whoever wins between Pitt and Louisville is going to have their hands full. But at the same time, so will Texas. No 5'9 setter on the front row to take advantage of with either team. Iowa State says Hello 👋 Yes, you're right. I should have said San Diego is the best team Texas played all season...EXCEPT Iowa State, who was obviously a better team than the Toreros this year by nearly every measure.

Halter felt like such an important difference maker to me. Just nailing passes. If you're telling servers "Don't go after the L! Or her! Or her!" whaddaya gonna do? Looked poised af.
