Normally not a TX fan (but not a hater either, just indifferent), but after hearing Fleck's interview on Thursday I was so impressed with her maturity and play earlier in the day I couldn't help but root for TX last night.
And yes, I know she was a rental, but who isn't these days?

Congrats to the Texas Transfer All-Stars for winning the National Championship. Flame me all you want, but that wasn't a fair fight. Not when the winning team often had transfers playing in 4 of the 6 positions on the court. I've got no dog in this fight, so it's not a matter of who had the unfair advantage. But it flat out is unfair and the AVCA needs to fix it. Some international pro leagues have rules that limit how many players can be out of country or from some given country. You could do something similar here. For example, you can have as many transfers as you want on your team, but you can't have more than 2 on court at any time. That would be a reasonable limit. In the meantime, a serious congrats to Louisville for being the best mostly home grown team in the country. The portal works both ways. It sure does!

And the AVCA has nothing to do with it.

Miss Eggleston said allow me to re-introduce myself. I’m Logan the GOAT Eggleston. You can't be a GOAT without a Championship, but let's check back after a few sets. k

It was at 24-23, *set point* for LOU in the last set where DBK pulls HER LAST challenge insisting that there was a touch by O’Neil. It wasn’t even close - not sure why she did that. If she’d kept her cool she could have challenged the next call of them in the net - but alas - she had panicked the call before. Biggest coaching choke in the history of NCAA Championships? I’m not going to go that far. Damned hindsight again. "Choke" is not the right word. IMO, choking would if she had the game in her pocket, and did something wrong to lose it.

Louisville had a great season. Congrats, and all that. But, had that Oregon/Louisville regional been on a neutral court, would the outcome have been different?

Congrats to JE and his Texas Longhorns -- well deserved. It was an ok match. The power, momentum and moment was all Texas, and if you couldn't feel that, well then you're not human. Texas was on a different level and I don't know of any team that could of beat them. Eggleston set the stage emotionally and every Texas player turned in. You couldn't help but join her mentality, kinda like Larson at the 2020ne Olympics.

But, had that Oregon/Louisville regional been on a neutral court, would the outcome have been different? big Oregon fan (bigger Texas fan though) and you might be right. I will say I think Louisville is a better serving team though. But I don’t think Oregon would’ve gotten as rattled in serve receive as Louisville did sometimes. I would’ve done anything for a Texas v Oregon 2012 rematch but I don’t think the outcome would’ve been much different.
