I was interested to see that although Texas lost to Louisville in 2019, the stats tell an entirely different story as overall Texas hit .320 to Lou’s .235, and Texas had more kills, more points, fewer errors, more aces, more blocks, and more assists - but all that good stuff just didn’t happen in a good sequence. Silly volleyball scoring rules.
I voted Texas in 4, but here I’ll predict Texas in 3, with scores something like 26-24, -21, -22. Although if the 2012 pattern repeats as it has, the scores will look more like the Oregon match.
Cannot wait!

Texas should be the favorite, but I see Louisville playing without fear against them. Also DBK > Elliott.

I think this will be a good match but Texas feels inevitable. I actually think Louisville matches up quite well at the net but I think edge Texas in the back.
Only reason I am going with Texas is cause Louisville gave up big runs and has against their last 2 opponents you absolutely can not do this against this Texas team. I hope for a great match. San Diego did a great job of neutralizing Logan but I don’t believe she will be as much as a non factor again. Just hoping for a good match and I will be satisfied regardless of the winner

Texas is known to choke. Wonder if they can win it all this year with the elite transfer team. Transfers have changed the game in recent years because of covid, but the fact that Texas has a rotation where potentially 5 transfers and 1 OG Texas player are on the court at once seems crazy lmao.
Louisville winning seems more fun story wise and for the game. First ACC team, first female coach. Let’s go, Louisville!!

Both teams had hot & cold moments tonight. There are chinks in the armour for both & I would be very surprised if the winner sweeps. I predict runs of points for both teams and both coaches dipping into their benches to try to get the job done. I think whoever can be more consistent & clean and bleed less silly points will win.
Although I love DBK and the Louisville team, I think Texas looks like they're going to take this one. It's gotta be Logan's time.

People are complaining about universities getting good recruits from the portal. It’s a free market system Texas didn’t create. Do you hate the players or the game?
Regardless, there are inherent challenges with incorporating that talent into a culture and new systems. I never understood this complaint. I mean, beyond some kind of jealousy.

Texas should sweep but they’ve been known to shank it hard in the final. Should be their year. you vastly, vastly underestimate Louisville and slightly overrate Texas I said what I said.

I want DBK and Queen Chaussee to win but if they don’t, I’d be happy for Caffey and Akana!

Rooting for the Hawaiian girls, but Texas usually crumbles in finals but hoping it’s their year!

Texas is the favorite because they are ranked #1. But anyone lubing the truth so they can gotcha Texas if Louisville wins is doing just that. Louisville is an incredible team. There is no ’clear’ here.
