That's a tough decision to make. None of my business, though. Of course, making the national team would be a tall order, even for O'Neal as awesome as she is. Just so few spots and a lot of terrific competition. Meh, she'll be great whatever she embarks upon.

Haleigh Washington, the middle she’s technically gunning for, is a very poor blocker and won’t likely be in the 2028 quad. Rettke is barely playing for her pro team (but is playing pretty well when she gets the chance. Anna Hall (Stevenson) is probably her biggest competition. It’ll be fun to see if she can overtake one of them by the 2028 Olympics! or 2026 world championships if she makes even more improvements.

I don't remember seeing this posted before. My apologies for whoever posted it if it has.
This is a podcast from Azhani Tealer and Maddie Berezowitz where they feature Zoe Fleck for a 35 minute interview.
The 25:30 mark is where they talk about Texas for the most part.
BTW, I can't remember if it's been mentioned or not, but she says in the podcast she would have stayed at UCLA if they'd had a scholarship available for her 5th year.

Just a bit of a caveat: Washington had very good blocking numbers for NCAA during her senior season. I wouldn’t assume O’Neal already is a strong international blocker.

Sealy’s brain should be studied for this and many other poor decisions.

Sealy’s brain should be studied for this and many other poor decisions. From my perspective the decision was brilliant. Good call, Coach Sealy! Don't let these naysayers bother you. Whatever you're doing these days.

I more meant she clearly had the ability to improve and improve quickly and that the bar for blocking rn isn’t very high lol

I told her to watch Paper Chase. Your advice was undoubtedly way more helpful and productive.
