I expect baby spice will start (just a guess) but also think they will split the jersey between sets. Yep, possibly we might even see Reilly? JE mentioned that he had 4 contenders for libero in that video he and Erik did about the championship... I can't remember the name of the youtube channel I think I may have found it: www.youtube.com/live/JRlW8UhBoQI?feature=share

horns mbb bby...great win That half court shot at the halftime buzzer was insane Timmy Allen had made 30 3 point shots his entire 5 year career before that. That was his third 3 point shot he's made this year. This tournament has been crazy. Texas is now the highest rated team left, and a favorite in Vegas to win it all. Which doesn't mean a whole lot, especially this year. But it's still kind of crazy. Can you imagine if the volleyball tournament was like this? All #1 seeds knocked out by the Sweet 16. Only one #2 seed remaining. Already it's guaranteed one of Creighton (a team I like that Texas beat earlier this year), Kansas State, San Diego State or Florida Atlantic is going to be in the national championship game. I don't even know exactly what the equivalent of that would be in volleyball, but it would be even more shocking than men's basketball. The problem is upsets make for better viewing numbers early, but they mean poorer viewing numbers late. The championship game isn't likely to even remotely approach last year's matchup between KU and UNC. But it's sure made for a compelling tournament so far. And of course for Texas fans it makes all the difference in the world that we're still in it. I can't believe that 2008 team was 15 years ago. That was the last time we made it to the second weekend.

Anyone going to the TCU game Sunday willing to tape up their phone to a rail and record the scrimmage and then upload to youtube for the fandom?
I've done that for the for y'all in the past.
Wondering if anyone can do it for us this time?

I know this word triggers volleytalk but I feel like there’s a lot more parity in men’s basketball than women’s volleyball.

Also, watching the beach livestream, you can really see where Molly got her shot placement skills

Think if there was some way where the shortest player on the court could make a play that counted for 2 points instead of 1.

No doubt. There's nothing like the 3 point line, for one. Think if there was some way where the shortest player on the court could make a play that counted for 2 points instead of 1. Don’t think it would negate height advantages but it would be interesting to see how teams changed play if back row attacks were worth 2 points. Yeah, I was thinking about that, too. It would make comebacks more common. With how difficult it is to win points off a serve, at some point in the match even well before it's been fully decided, the outcome is pretty much 99% certain. The thing about the 3 point shot is you don't have to be 6'8 to make a difference from there. You don't have to be able to jump out of the gym. Some people will be naturally better than others, but mostly it's about working your butt off and creating a consistent, repeatable form. A backrow attack still requires a certain combination of height plus athleticism to pull off consistently. We're not going to see too many 5'4 backrow attackers. I also feel like it would almost have to come from the international committee. The way US colleges allow so many more subs than the international game already changes how players in the US are developed that puts the US at a disadvantage internationally. Putting in some kind of play that scores 2 points rather than 1 would change things dramatically. But it's fun to think about, anyway.
