game day, LFG horns...no one wants to be hanging out in norman for another minute & ou still sucks texas football kick the bears a$$ I have news for you - the OU campus is 100 times nicer than UT’s concrete-every-square-inch nightmare. What in the world? Get out of here with that sh1t. You’re not exactly trying to win friends, are you.

more triple blocks than i have seen in a long time. especially for jenna There was more tooling of blocks last night, and line shots. So I'm glad David Hunt is reading my VT analysis LOL I would characterize last night's game as typical early season, complete with typical fan reactions- we moan about how the team looks mediocre despite the win, then you see the stats and are like, huh. Those numbers are actually pretty good. Watching in person Swindle was all over the place in set 1 or that could have been won by 4-5 points. It seemed like she got better as the match went on, but got stuck in some rotations in set 3 but fought through it.

Watched the big 10 Nebraska opener against Ohio State last night. Nebraska had no problems. Buckeyes held to sub-.100 hitting
Ohio St. 14 16 21 Nebraska 25 25 25
This was the 7th oppenent Nebraska has held under .100 this season. Their defense is phenomenal. They were blocking everything. At this time of the year, don't see how we could even take a set off them.

I tuned in for about 1 set and quit watching when it was obvious that K-State is still in it's first year rebuild and playing sloppier than TCU.
Para had 4 SE, which is about average for her.
While watching, I was astounded to see that by late in the second set TCU was outblocking K-State 13-3. And then they showed one player and said she had 10 blocks so far. Wait what?
I looked it up on the box score, yeah Brianna Green had 10 blocks to her stats! Grad transfer MB from Denver U.
With......64 blocks so far in the season!!
(Asjia has 38)
Both K-State and TCU were in the top ten in the nation in blocks per set entering this match (as is BYU). Texas Tech was 18th. Yep, Green has great timing and was part of the vacating roster at Denver. She is a force at the net on defense.

At this time of the year, don't see how we could even take a set off them. Recruiting is critical. They’ve been winning practically every head to head recruiting battle - not just against Texas, but against everyone - for the last 3 to 4 years (I’m including 2021 through 2025). Recruiting isn’t everything, but it’s a gigantic piece of the puzzle. They don’t have a single senior on that roster, either. It’s not just the block. The backrow is incredible. Their offense is diverse and extremely potent. They serve well. It’s tough to find a weakness. I’m interested to see how Wisconsin does against them, but right now I’d favor Nebraska. I’m not sure how the rest of the Big 10 stands much of a chance over 5 sets. And this is without Krause.

y'all think molly has reclaimed her role? I hope so. And I hope she continues to shut it down.

I feel like Kahahawai is the better option, but that's just me. IMO she didn't get set, whereas Phillips did. Phillips did have two nice blocks in the 1st set. I don't think of myself as anti Molly. I'm grateful for her. But I'm definitely team Kahahawai. I also don't think Kahahawai's presence makes us a juggernaut. I just think she's the better option of the two.
