Exactly. If you don't have the guts to say what you type on here to a player or coach's face, then that's probably your clue to think twice about posting it. But, it's an "anonymous" message board for a reason so internet tough guys and wannabe coaches can vent . . . Quit rich for Horns1 to put himself on the pedestal when he’s probably the main culprit of attacking and criticizing other posters on VT. Epitome of a keyboard warrior. VT is a anonymous message board/forum for fans to keep up with volleyball, but to also at times to vent their frustrations. As long as they aren’t making threats or saying racist/misogynistic/homophobic comments about players/each other, then let people have their moment and opinion about players. It’s sports, people have players they like and don’t like, let them have their feelings and stop getting in yours because I’ve lost count the number of times you’ve been nasty & arrogant towards other VT posters. Random thoughts during today's game: Was looking for Shay Eggleston in the hitting line (not realizing she'd been injured). My wife mis-identified her as "99" and then finally found her with her apparatus.
When Devin was put in at the 23 pt mark of the second set, I thought, "Well, okay. That's just reward time". But when he put her in at the 11th pt in the third set I was thinking, "I wonder if this is a - This is what next year will be like. Trust me."
OR
It could be "Here's some tape you can show to the schools that contact you in the portal". Ack!
When that Cincy player hit the "moonball" serves, I kept thinking "That's the way I used to serve in middle school!" (trying to hit the very back of the line)
A couple of times, the ball hit the tape coming nowhere near the arms or hands of our players and the scorer gave Texas a "block". Yeah, padding the stats
Once or twice I saw Swindle's feet cross the line under the net, but the play (set) was going to the other side of the court, so.....not called or maybe not noticed?
While scanning the replay looking for certain plays, I saw the look on the Cincy players. A kind of.....WTF, when can this thing end?
When the subs started coming in, I was thinking, "You know, we've never just CRUSHED an opponent this year like this. There have been very few windows during this year where we had the luxury for reward-play time"
As I was explaining the Kahahawai situation to my wife, I was thinking, "Wait. Devin's only competition next year is Thomkinson. Okay yeah Byrd can play all positions, but really if Devin just sees Thomkinson between her and the starting spot, isn't common sense to just stay?"
Oh yeah, lots of made up rumors that they might recruit an Opp out of the portal. Meh. I hope she stays. That smile when her teammates congratulates her....I hope that's enough.

I *think* there are two elements to the call - 1st being that the entire foot has to cross the line, and 2nd is that it has to be disruptive or dangerous (so some portion of ref subjectivity here). But someone please correct me if this is not the case |

Checking out the stats from today's game and it is GOOD. I mean, REALLY GOOD. Yes, the match was not against the toughest opponent, but we didn't play this well against weaker teams like WV.
As a team, we hit .476!!!! For the starters, the numbers are wow:
- Bella .714 / 1 block
- Madi .632 / 4 blocks / 2 aces
- Asjia .571 / 8 blocks
- Jenna .471 / 2 digs (I wonder if the footy counts?)
- Ella .429 / 2 blocks / 8 digs
- Molly .333 / 4 blocks
6 aces to 8 SEs, 12 blocks in 3 sets
We finally got our hot start. Jenna had a great match start to finish. The middles are clicking. The block is there.
I hope we keep this up for the rest of the season, great win and congratulations to the team for bouncing back
