How much success have any of this new staff enjoyed at the college level? Virtue was AC at Michigan when they went to the Final 4. Dan Pawlikowski helped UNLV last year to a 17-1 conference record in the MW and an at-large bid.

What positions will be recruiting priorities for players in the 2025 recruiting class? I think MB will be a priority with two graduating in 2024. Probably still looking for a stud OH as well.

Spring roster is posted and it's looking pretty....thin. It confirms the departure of the remaining potential 5th years: Dowd, Beals and Liu. Who gets to set if Scotty becomes injured like she did last spring?

Duke? It's like she only cares about her education.

Do we have any rumors about who the second assistant may be? Or any indication that some of the free agent... I mean, transfer, outsides have been on recruiting visits?

Thanks to katn for finding and sharing this terrific interview with Erin Virtue. It's fun to see Cathy George interviewing the Michigan HC; Mick Haley and Bill Walton are gems in this. Because she touches on so many things directly relevant to the 2023 program, I thought it would be good to share here too: Lots of interesting details from this: - She's hiring a second AC who should be revealed in the next week - Mark Rosen started the 2023 schedule; she is holding onto existing commitments - She met with Mruzik and Robinson before they committed elsewhere - She is speaking with May Pertofsky who has not yet decided what she wants to do (!) - Looking at a couple of players in the portal - Vaulet likely to be used at OH (this especially makes sense if Pertofsky returns) - She's relying on her staff to carry the ball while she is off on Team USA duties Erin comes across great, she has been saying and doing all of the right things early in her tenure. A cold splash of reality is likely to hit this spring and fall given the current roster, but Michigan made a great hire.

Perfect breakdown! I thought the Vaulet playing OH comment was the biggest piece of news. Hopefully a portal OH/Murray/Jacobs can help her transition into the college game/B1G. She'll certainly be an intriguing option on the pin, and may be an answer to the firepower they're seeking. Only wish Cathy would have asked about how many matches we have to endure in Cliff Keen Arena!

Michigan’s administration has verified it holds no place for volleyball…they continue to have substandard facilities, and are unable to recruit the best in-state players to Michigan, including legacy athletes. Now they hired this staff that has resulted in a dumpster fire for the roster including a new head coach who thinks the Michigan position is a secondary part time position. As it sits today, Michigan is a bottom three B1G team, and dropping faster than a Chinese spy balloon. It’s sad because Michigan has the location and resources to be good. 🏐

I presumed this was in reference to the two Jesses that have already announced their move. As of the Jan. 20 video we have Johnson, Nyambio, Boney, Cuchran, Jacobs, Chopra, Humphrey, and Simmons. Grant was out at that point due to her tragic family matter, and Murray has posted about the different hirings on her socials. Not sure there's anyone else to go into the portal.
