Oh my god, that's awful. Love to Hannah and her family. Wow, I am devastated by this news. I only get to a handful of games a year and this past season I had the pleasure of sitting in the Hannah Grant cheering section for the Purdue match. Albeit brief interactions, her mom was very sweet to me and my crew that came with me. Thoughts, prayers and all the love possible to Hannah, her family, and the Michigan VB family. |

Not to start a whole conversation on this but I hate that the alleged shooter was also found dead, it's like he doesn't have to face his awful actions in this life or live with the knowledge that he devastated a family with his senseless violence. So sad  wish her lots of strength during this hard time |

Yeah, but can Dan and Coley recruit? I’m not completely sure if they’re still well connected to the club scene in the MW since they haven’t been in the college game. I think their big sell will be Erin’s USA experience, but as key recruiters i’m an “eeeeeehhhhhhhh” on them. |

Nice interview with new HC Erin Virtue on Jon Jansen's Conqu'ring Heroes podcast. Nothing too earth shattering, I like that her Olympic Gold is hanging in her office. Interesting comments on Team USA and what the prep is like for Paris. She has a lot of work to do with Michigan's program to get them more competitive. |

Nice interview with new HC Erin Virtue on Jon Jansen's Conqu'ring Heroes podcast. Nothing too earth shattering, I like that her Olympic Gold is hanging in her office. Interesting comments on Team USA and what the prep is like for Paris. She has a lot of work to do with Michigan's program to get them more competitive. Thanks for sharing! Hiring the right assistants will be imperative for her success early on. They'll be steering the recruiting ship while she's doing her Team USA duties. Granted, running the development program for men and women indoor and outdoor is quite the juggling act already. |

In the few interactions I had as a coach with Coley I would not put much stock in her ability to recruit, might serve her better to just be a point of contact for those left in the area that have a pre existing relationship. Often unorganized, would not return phone calls even when she was the one reaching out, and some of the conversations she had with kids over the years would make you cringe. |

Olympic coaches don't get medals, only the athletes get them. I'm guessing that USAV gave the coaching staff some sort of honorary medal. The reference in the podcast might have been to some other memento, it wasn't really clear but the inference was to a medal of some sort. |
