So how does NKYVC already have a National level bid? Does each region pass those out differently? A And is National level considered the 2nd best or is USA considered 2nd best? I know the order is Open, National, USA but it seems like some regions give away their national bids so they could be lower than a earned USA bid? NKYVC must have already went through regionals to get their bid. The state I'm in had regionals the weekend prior. 1st place always gets a National bid & 2nd used to get American. With Freedom and Liberty divisions now as well, I'm not sure how that works?

If you have an open bid you do not participate or teams can play up an age group. The winner and runner up receives a national bid so there is two followed by American and Freedom bids. Makes more sense to me to have it at the end, that way the open teams are qualified and by then teams have 40-50 games under their belts before trying to win the region.

If you have it early teams get a bid right away and can shoot for higher bids. Perhaps if you enter one division in a qualifier it is not that easy to switch. Metro 18 and Paramount 18 qualified for bids so in the local bid tournament Virginia Jrs 18 won a National bid (Metro and Paramount did not play). Don't know why they would then play in the USA Division at MEQ (a division lower) unless they were not allowed to move up to open or perhaps did not want to play in open and just played for the competition.

Looks like a lot of the big names skipped PNQ, a relatively weaker field overall.

Yes I am familiar and I say that because:
Out of the top 20 finishes at triple crown, I count 3 teams?
Out of the top 20 via March Prepvolleyball power rankings I count 4 out of the top 20? Yes I know Prepvolleyball is a joke but its one of the only things we have to reference.

Noticed Nebraska Pride in 17 Open for Show Me. New club? I've never heard of them.

Big South National Qualifier gets going on Friday, pools are live. What is a challenge division? Open, USA, American... and Challenge?
