Just doing a little plug for the 2023-24 Midwest Boys Point Series! We are one of the largest power series events in the country and spread out to multiple locations all around the midwest and south. We are excited that next year we will be competing in five different cities and featuring some of the best clubs in the midwest as FULL TIME participants like C2, Milwaukee Sting, Academy VBC (Indy), Cincinnati Attack, Louisville Fury, and more! We hope to welcome even more teams next year! This is a great event for all levels of teams including regional or local based teams.
This year we saw over 212 tournament registrations, featured 26 different clubs, and continued to expand our reach to regional / local based teams.
November 11-12, 2023 | The Warm-Up Indianapolis, IN - This will be a separate Indianapolis event to prepare for the 2023 Chi-Town Challenge! December 16-17, 2023 | Weekend #1 (Seeding Weekend) Milwaukee, WI - Teams North of Indianapolis Nashville, TN - Teams South of Indianapolis January 6-7, 2024 | Weekend #2 (Ladder Weekend #1) Louisville, KY - 15-16U Cincinnati, OH - 12U, 14U, 17-18U February 17-18, 2024 | Championship Weekend (Ladder Weekend #2) Indianapolis, IN & Westfield, IN

Great job growing the game Do you see any Chicago teams joining or do you think they will stick to Points Series tournaments?

Great job growing the game Do you see any Chicago teams joining or do you think they will stick to Points Series tournaments? Unknown! I hope they are open to it.. The Point Series events are just tough for out of state teams to attend since they only play 4 matches on the weekend. Most out of state teams will spend more time in a car than on the court. From our research when we created these new dates there are no real tournament conflicts. The Point Series ended first weekend of December. But if the Chi-Town Challenge is moving to the first weekend of December like rumored then the Point Series will probably reshuffle their dates. I am sure we will get some teams doing the single registration from the Chicago, Milwaukee, Atlanta, or Knoxville area option for the Point Series that we allow.

are you going to have 13s,14s tournament in Milwaukee? The Illinois point series are different for 15s+ (they go longer but still just 3 matches in a day). Also love to see that you are looking at the timeslots for other tournaments. Other organizations could learn a lot from you Best of luck!

Hmm, if ChiTown moves to first weekend of December that would probably be hard on the West Coast Teams that attended this year.

Yeah the way we are splitting the first weekend is clubs Indianapolis and north (Munciana, Academy, MKE Sting, L2 from Michigan, South Indy) and any Milwaukee area teams will compete there all age groups 12-18s. South of Indy (Cincinnati Attack, Louisville Fury, Ohio Premier, C2) will go to Nashville, same concept all age groups.

From what I heard and saw on a thread awhile ago ChiTown is moving to first weekend of December and the Showdown in MoTown may go to the last weekend of December. If it does I will be curious what the guys at the Midwest Point Series decide to do based off of these dates they released seeing how nearly all the clubs listed minus Fury and Sting attended the Dtroit tournament.

Maybe that'll be the option again if that is held in November 23.

AAU/JVA created the Chi-Town together.

Hmm, maybe the idea will be to move SoCal Winter Formal to November? ChiTown in December? Both had a good mix of teams from all over. I can't see teams travelling on back to back weekends in December. Something will have to give.

This is an awesome concept. I hope it works and all of the top clubs in the midwest get in on this going forward.

I know this thread went to the bottom recently, but check out the new information we released this evening to club directors around the Midwest! in 2022-23 featured 21 total TOP 15 FINISHES at the 2023 AAU National Championships in their respective divisions (from Open to Club in all age groups & 8 coming from OPEN divisions). The series this year will feature a new ladder and point system that includes power pools on weekend #2 and #3 to welcome one off club registrations! Each event will be part of the AAU Sanctioned Grand Prixs meaning winners of individual weekends can win their 2024 AAU Entry fee. Winners of the entire series will receive free entry for the 2024-25 Midwest Boys Point Series. Registration opens on August 1st, and I hope you consider joining our events! You can check out the unique flow chart here: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19AlzrZ3-EmfR9z6RzDgNRFm7Nn-qc2ImcqjiZdtpgeI/edit?usp=sharing

Has the Midwest Boys Points Series announced whether it will be held in the 2024-2025 season? Our teams have enjoyed the series and the ladders format. I am wondering if the series will be going forward based upon the changes announced for the Chi-Town Challenge and the new Brickyard Battle in Indianapolis. I also see that the Academy's Winter Invitational has been moved to mid-February. Thanks.
