IMO: Hudson/Chicoine Renner/Heaney(Hornung DS) Colvin/Carr Schermerhorn
I can see Myers getting time. I can see a blocking sub for Chicoine in situations. This team should be an exceptional passing team. I’ll be watching the spring games, so maybe I will get a better feel later on.

Didn’t realize how young the pins will be, Hudson will have a lot in her shoulders again. Hopefully schmerhorn and hornung can keep the passing good enough to feed colvin as much as possible to help them out

I'm sad that the Boilers won't be facing off with the Illini this spring! Pre-covid times I enjoyed the trip to W Lafayette to watch a spring match between them. Looks like a really nice slate of matches for y'all, though.
Also cool team thread, bruinsgold!

I'm also sad there won't be a match between the two squads 😭 Since they always have such good slugfests during the season, I thought the spring matches were great barometers for what they needed to work on. And thank you!

And wouldn't she take a lot of the load off of Hudson's shoulders offensively too?

She’s one of my favorite incoming freshman and has such a high volleyball IQ so I’m crossing my fingers she meets the challenge 🤞

I'm intrigued to see if Rastovski breaks into the starting lineup. Coach Shondell seemed high on her in an interview last season

Posting this here too as well as WI thread since who knows someone might want to make a trip out of it - for WI looks like not too far south of Chicago. And the day before would be an MIVA tournament game for men’s volleyball and Loyola and/or Lewis could very well be hosting. Lewis would be convenient. You’d appreciate the cleanness of the Sunday game

Will she have a Hudson type impact or will her size be a concern against the top 1/2 of the league? She's been fun to watch over the years at the club level.

I would be extremely surprised if Chicoine has a Hudson type impact her first year out. Then again, I was surprised by Carter Booth's first year being as successful as it was. Then again again, Chicone isn't 6'7".

Super curious to see how Heaney looks if she wins playing time.
