I think it's more impressive that a non-revenue generating program is willing to spend tens of thousands of dollars to fly the vb team 4,000 miles for a few days to play an exhibition match that doesn't count for anything. Perhaps that program budget shortfall that was posted in the Minnesota thread is more accurate than people think. I absolutely agree. What AD signs off on sending a team for a vacation in Hawaii. Minnesota can find better competition within their radius that NCAA recommends. I'm guessing an AD that wants to take a trip to Hawaii.

Nebraska keeping up the tradition of playing their spring match at an out-state location.

Impressive that they can charge attendance to a Spring match. Of course they can. This is Hawaii volleyball.

Impressive that they can charge attendance to a Spring match. Hawaii fans have paid to attend Spring VB matches for a while. Based on the comment, I'm wondering how many other schools charge to attend a Spring match.

I highly doubt that Minnesota will be getting a new beach program. If that were to happen tho, that would be really cool. However I’d love for these beach programs (Nebraska, Texas) to be their own sport & have their own athletes specifically for beach volleyball. Some dual-athletes of course would be okay

Using the indoor coaches and players is only being done this first year.
