Yes, multiple camps on Friday this year. Future Stars, 3 College Camps run by non-D1 coaches, and Olympian Master Class. D1 coaches can attend camps and have been invited, but not permitted to teach/interact.

Need some food recommendations. We are grabbing the gas station BBQ on our way into KC for Friday night dinner.. what is good otherwise? I remember last year trying to find restaurants after Sunday PM wave and nothing was open.. any suggestions would be great!

Jack Stack and/or Q-39 are both good …if you can go to the Overland Park location that may work better because it’s less busy. If you want something non conventional there is also a unique place called Buck Tui that is Thai-BBQ..it’s sooooo good!

Anybody know why Circle City doesn't attend this event? I realize they are one of the host clubs for the President's Day tournament in St Louis the same weekend but why not send your top teams for each age group to Triple Crown. Circle City is probably one of the top 10 to 15 Clubs in the Country.

Saw where A5 is in the Power Pool for 16s. Don't understand that pick. A number of the teams not in the PP have beaten that A5 squad several times over the last two years. A5 is a really good club but not sure this group is on the same level.

They did not even qualify for Nationals last year but from what I hear, A5 has completely revamped the team and is in better shape this year. This will certainly be a good test to see where they stand. The A5 name clearly pulled some weight here though.

Correct. 23 of the top 25 ranked clubs attend Triple Crown. Circle City (#8) attends its own event in St Louis the same weekend. Metro (#16) attends its own event in DC the same weekend.

I watched them at Central Zones and not sure much has changed. They still set outside about 99% of the time and serve receive at times seemed to be an issue. They have a lot of height and really good athletes, just seem to need to improve on ball control to play with the Elite Teams

Understand but the list of teams at the CC event in StLouis doesn't jump off the page. I guess if CC Purple teams are looking for some easy wins then so be it, just not sure what their top teams get out of the event. Makes we wonder if there is more to the story.

This is such a great tournament. I love the format and seeing the top teams in the country duke it out from day 1 rather than waiting three days for championship brackets. I'm especially looking forward to seeing the latest configurations of the North Texas 17's teams, particularly Drive Nation and TAV. Gobs of talent on both squads, so it'll be interesting to see how this year's versions gel. Will be fun to watch.

Sports Performance is still a decent club, but overall they have declined over the last 3 years or so.
Circle City and Metro attending their own events is a business decision more than anything. Probably need the directors and leaders onsite to continue to run their very profitable events that help run their clubs.
