i believe he is graduating early and would not have been back next year. and, yes, the practice gym is not as competitive with ayrton setting for the b team OK, OK, OK! Fine. You've convinced me. I'll suit up and set for the B team. But I refuse to dig David's line shot. You're gonna have to sub me out when he's front row. have your blockers take line?

But he only hits on the left in 1 rotation so you would be safe in right back and could ask Speraw to spin the wheel so you aren’t back row when they are in 1

I've been yelling at him since the days of Ma'a!

I think it will be hard to beat Hawaii without Partain. Rowan is good but not an all around player especially in the defensive end of the game. But good luck to the guys. I am still hoping they might have a chance in the NCAA tournament.

Is Partain leaving UCLA altogether or just the team?

Will UCLA claim him after he wins a Gold Medal in LA? claim him? As a former player turned Olympian winner, I know other schools put banners or pictures up. Was half making a joke, half serious since he probably will never suit up as an indoor player again

Was half making a joke, half serious since he probably will never suit up as an indoor player again Why wouldn't they? UCLA "claims" Kent. So does Stanford and he only attended each for a season. It was probably a hard decision and I hope Speraw supported Miles. Seems like it is working out for UCLA so far. Positive thoughts for Miles and his path to the Olympics. To be the best there are a lot of compromises and hard decisions along the way. I selfishly wish I could have seen him play more indoor because he is a really fun player to watch but at least there is still beach. Watching him go 100% in this direction is going to be something worth paying attention to.

Watching him go 100% in this direction is going to be something worth paying attention to. Totally positive thoughts for Miles and his Olympic aspirations, he is hands down on his way to being potentially one of the best beach players in the world and he is pushing adaptations into the game forcing others to do the same like those that were innovative before him. It does not sound like Speraw was very supportive, or at least pretty petty in taking a couple pot shots over the last two weeks.
