I don't know why you guys are beating a dead horse. We all know that when Holiday says he "doesn't want to see any politics", that doesn't include right-wing Conservative politics. He's fine with seeing that. I think it’s even more sad that you guys view anything that celebrates the flag as political? When did respecting the American flag become political? You’re the only person who brought up Ragged Old Flag. What are you talking about? I should’ve tagged it because someone edited it out. It was on the two previous pages somewhere. Oh, I see it now - someone did mention it a few pages back. Didn't seem particularly disrespectful. Anyway, I missed that commercial or whatever it was, but the entire event seemed pretty standard Super Bowl stuff - lay it on a little thick with the red, white, and blue - jets flying over, giant flag etc - but that's not out of the ordinary, and is pretty much expected as part of the show. No big deal. Hoever, given the circumstances of Pat Tillman's death - and the government's response to it...that was a pretty freaking cringe-inducing segment. I didn't find the quick shot of Musky, Rupert, and spawn of Rupert political, nor was the commercial (shown a few times) with Gutfeld an in-your-face thing. Although I didn't realize what a dweeb Gutfeld is. I most certainly didn't find a hint of "wokeness" - in other words, pretty much like every Super Bowl. If anything, as others have pointed out on these pages, it leaned a bit to the right. At any rate, all those folks that, per the "poll" (*snort*), were apparently worried the Super Bowl would be a long commercial for socialism or whatever can breathe easy. Unless they're intimidated by some CGI M&M's, I guess. |
