CSUN was very solid with their passing in set 1 (25-19), able to run the middle quite a bit.
NJIT making the comeback in set 2 off scrappy defense and Hobus mistakes. Up 9-5.

njit evens things, takes set 2, 25-22
njit looked the better team in transition. their setter, nido, has some nice hands. negri also seems like a nice looking player for them, but kinda error prone.
still csun came back and made it somewhat close, when they stopped spraying hitting errors, or hitting into the block.

hobus back in, and helping csun make a run at njit ... who led for most of this match, at times with a decent lead.
but it's 21-all now ...

njit block on hobus for the set point, 25-22 ... they hold off csun in set 3
njit looked the better team for the first half of that set -- blocking, serving/aces, the more efficient hitting team. then it looks like they got nervous, and their own serve receive started to break down ...

SMH. yeah ... and not a great looking set either ... appeared to die inside a bit. it looks like it went down as a block for njit in the stat line. but i also wouldn't be surprised if that hit didn't clear the net ... |
