Despite the injury to 6-rotation, 3 year starter and Captain Lyla Taylor. She went down with an elbow injury in the 3rd set. Fullerton was able to beat American University, in a reverse sweep. 13-25, 16-25, 25-22. 25-22, 15-12.
Nadia, the starting libero is out with a concussion. She has not played in the last two matches. Hopefully she's back soon.
One rotation has 5 freshman on the court! Win or lose they are an exciting group of freshmen.
I think we will be in the mix for the key 6th place.

I've noticed that in the last couple of matches for UCSD, Ava McIness has been MIA. Anyone know what happened to her and how long she's going to be out? The Tritons also just lost Aubrey Tanner to an apparent ankle injury. Hope both players heal up quickly and return soon.

I've noticed that in the last couple of matches for UCSD, Ava McIness has been MIA. Anyone know what happened to her and how long she's going to be out? The Tritons also just lost Aubrey Tanner to an apparent ankle injury. Hope both players heal up quickly and return soon. I remember it being mentioned in their broadcast against SDSU, but I don't think they mentioned if McInnes was out due to injury/illness etc. However, if it is injury, hopefully she gets better soon. She is a very important piece for this UCSD squad. |

She is a very important piece for this UCSD squad. I was looking to see if she was even anywhere on the Tritons' sideline during timeouts, etc. and didn't see her. I figured if her injury wasn't too bad, she'd be there with the team, but no sign of her. Hoping for the best with her. On a positive note, looks like Tanner is standing and moving around without assistance so it looks like she'll be OK. Edit: Announcers just mentioned that McIness is out with an illness, so who knows how long that'll be. |

Cal Poly pulled the reverse sweep and beat VCU 3-2.
UCSD without McIness sweeps Denver 3-0
UCR loses to Nevada 3-0
Bakersfield loses to Santa Clara 3-1
LBSU loses to Nebraska 3-0
UCR loses match #2 to CBU 3-0
