It is not uncommon for the third coach to be a more inexperienced coach new to the business. Not sure the situation at UCSB but now that the volunteer coach can get paid maybe they're working on another paid coach with more experience. Wish her the best in the profession.

What happen to Emma Rhodes? I just remember about her. good question. she was so good early club days but was riddled with leg injuries on the tail end leading up to entering college. |

Hapaguy, Give the current group of coaches time to mature into the new Old Guard and let's see how they do. I am sure the current group of coaches are a fine group but they won't come anywhere near the success as the "old guard" (as you put it). Between them, the "old guard" has 9 National Championships! I highly doubt any of the current group of Big West Coaches will come anywhere near that type of success. |

Wondering which teams in the BWC will challenge the Wahine for the Top spot. Or, will they be fighting to see who comes in 2nd to the Wahine Team.

The only other upper tier team that brings back a lot of players is UCSB. Cal Poly and LBSU lost a lot of impact players so time will tell if they will contend for a conference championship. Hawaii brings back their core and has brought in a good physical pin that they were missing. Rainbows are clear favorites at this point in time. |

The tournament format gives #1 and #2 a bye. Coming in 2nd puts #1 and #2 on essentially equal tournament footing. Win two to win the AQ. And Beach will have homecourt for the tournament. So a #2 regular conference finish for Beach would set them up just fine.
