Anybody want to guess what the attendance will be tonight without UH in the final? I'd hope that folks would still attend a match that has two powerhouse teams in Irvine vs Beach but that never seems to happen at the Outrigger tournaments, people just stroll in when they want. Did the games have to be purchased as a bundle or were they for sale individually? My guess 6k-7k tickets issued but 4k-5k in turnstile The neutral crowd will prolly be doing the Viking clap when Sheward serve. I plan to follow/watch the match hoping Sheward will set Irvine to a victory. He's not too flashy but sets a hittable ball.

I'm not surprised. I think his body isn't up to more competitive volleyball. There were a few times tonight and many more this season where he would land and kinda of grimace. Hawaii fans are so lucky to have seen him live! I was know my jaw hit the floor when I went to the GCU match. I always going remember Chaz when he was first inserted into that 2nd game series against BYU in March 2020. Young kid, he had short hair and he came in absolutely unafraid. The young man had balls. Came into the match and helped us secure that 5 set thriller. And he always turned it up in the post season even when he wasn't always up to par offensively during the season. It was his all around game im gonna miss. Mahalo, Chaz! I remember those Galloway helicopter ready for take off reference 🤣

They announce the NCAA teams on tomorrow morning, right?
I know its zero chance that they will get one of the at large spot, but miracles do happen. Lol

This is the time when Charlie Wade finds out how many adults he has on his Hawaii Men's Volleyball Team. Right now, 2 of Charlie Wade's Outside Hitters are in the baby category. By that I mean, they are not capable of playing through a little awry. As much as I go after Tread Rosenthal, there is one thing I can positively say about Tread Rosenthal is that, he is one of the adults on Charlie Wade's team. For someone that plays match after match with a fracture pinky finger, Tread Rosenthal is definitely one of the adults, unlike the 2 Outside Hitters. Chaz Galloway needs to suck it up, play through whatever ailment he has, play like an adult, cause the Hawaii team needs him on the floor, if Hawaii wants to have a chance to get to the NCAA Tournament. If Tread Rosenthal can play through a fracture pinky finger, then I do not see why Chaz Galloway cannot play through whatever ailment he has, if he has an ailment at all. It cannot be any worse then Tread Rosenthal has to play with. You are such an ugly human being

If this was indeed the last match of the season, Tread and Louis would be in Top 4 of Career Service Aces Per Set. Spyros ends his UH career at #7:
1. Yuval Katz - 0.541 2. Pedro Azenha - 0.513 3. Louis Sakanoko - 0.425 4. Tread Rosenthal - 0.406 5. Clay Stanley - 0.403 6. Delano Thomas - 0.387 7. Spyros Chakas - 0.36 8. Naveh Milo - 0.357 9. Dimitrios Mouchlias - 0.352 10. Rado Parapunov - 0.334 11. Jakob Thelle - 0.319 12. Brook Sedore - 0.307
The Voss is #5 in Total Blocks:
1. Dejan Miladinovic - 745 2. Jason Olive - 474 3. Patrick Gasman - 469 4. Dio Dante - 438 5. Guilherme Voss - 433 6. Taylor Averill - 406 6. Matt Rawson - 406 8. Costas Theocharidis - 380 9. Sivan Leoni - 360 10. Andre Breuer - 344
And as yall know Spyros is #7 in Career Service Aces:
1. Jakob Thelle - 122 2. Costas Theocharidis - 121 2. Pedro Azenha - 121 4. Brook Sedore - 119 5. Rado Parapunov - 114 6. Delano Thomas - 108 7. Spyros Chakas - 104 8. Eyal Zimet - 103 9. Yuval Katz - 100 9. Sivan Leoni - 100
Tread Rosenthal - 41 Louis Sakanoko - 31
If Tread and Louis can keep that pace, they'll end up as #1 and #2 by their senior year
Was Chakas on trend to get close to Thelle’s number? He could've... 10 conference matches + big west tourney + ncaa tourney...

You'd want Long Beach and UCLA winning their tournaments.

My guess is the younger crowd will find something else to do, and retirees might still show up

You could make a slight case that Hawaii deserves it over GCU… only in regards to head to head.. but really GCUs only hiccup this year was the Outrigger tourney!

I think Kauling transferred in before Tread made the decision to come early Here's the thing though, didn't the coaching staff know? There was an article about Tread and the others (Blanchette, Larson) leaving school early. Tread stated that the coaching staff had discussed and asked him to do it all along. So, they at the very least should/would have shared that information with Kauling. Idk. I don't have any insider info. That's just what I thought and seen
